Servicing At Mah Motors (upper serangoon)

Bought my bike there was told the first 3 servicing is 'free'
so anyway heres the story:-
1st Servicing
Was told to choose between SPC semi-syn ($10 per lit) or repsol ($20 per lit) *and i needed to use 2 lit of engine oil)
so no choice chose spc paid $30 (incl of oil filter change)
Then had a discussion with people in this forum and someone recommended me to get 'total' semi syn for only $4.80 per lit at carefore, so got 2lit for only $9.60
2nd Servicing
told then i wanted to use my engine oil, was told i couldnt, if wanted then i have to pay service charge!! (then what the 'free servicing about??' had an argument with the mechanic, then he said he will do it but told me my engine oil might spoilt my bike,
and then pretty much he just ignoired me, did his own stuff, another bike came and he service that bike ... just ignored my bike..
then i Spoke to the sales people, they in-turn spoke to mechanic and the sales person told me, my engine oil could spoilt my bike, bec its full-syn, thus not recommended for honda bike as the rating is 15w50w its only for extreme hot and cold weather, (but then again before they also recommend me to get Repsol full syn which has a 10w50w a higher rating compared to 'Total') Their story was not adding up.. and they told me all bike shop are like this, but
outside
spc (semi syn) is only $6.50 and (repsol full syn) is $16++
so how come the over price their oil, this look like NOT a free servicing, why should i go all the way to upper serangoon from clementi, might a well i got to alexendra for servicing...
so anyway... afer along argument, he reluctantly change the engine oil, didint even check any other thing or grease the chain (like they did in the 1st servicing) and told me next time round.. i MUST USE their OIL...
damm screwed up man MAH Motors
when i bought the bike was promised it be ready on tue (it was only ready on thu)
when i collected the bike there is no ERP and Manual, and and the bike had grease stains and some minor rust in some area...
and now the free 3 servicing not even free! am i over reacting? is this normal?

I brought my first bike(TZR 125) from them in 1995 and hell lots of problems with the bike.. Firstly i was told to come and get the bike on our agreed time and date. When i went on that day, the Sales Person told me it was not ready yet...asked me come 2 days later...Well, i was just a newbie at that time..so no choice had to listen. 2 days later, went to get the bike, made 2 wait 3 hrs later before i got the bike..then nvm...so i happily rode my bike out...less than 500 away...my bike broke down.....and had to walk back to complain....and.......(story too long already..but i guess u get the idea and my experience with Mah Motor)...i might be suay lah too..but since then never ever go back to them to buy bikes liao.

change engine oil nia, can ownself do mah -
its really impt to find urself a good place to service ur bike lor... look ard n try out d places.... once u think its a good place, stick to it. make friends wif d mechanic, even d boss... after a while, buy for them drinks n stuff... tell u, ur efforts will be rewarded one
they won't only over charge u, sometimes they will heck care the price one... give u discount like nobody's business n still do a good job... heheh -

Thats why I go and learn as much as I could. See the mechanic's service manual from the manufacturer and ask around. Then learn more and DIY more. It's good for ourselves especially during long distance ride or track.Originally posted by ah tiang:LOL~!

Oh yah... btw, I know MAH MOTORS LEE MOTORS are in cahoots. They like to chop newbies. Give extra service which never existed and charge heavily on them. KNN, I was badly chopped during my 2B days. Recently when I went with a friend to look at their new R1, they quoted 22k. The Total 4T and the Repsol 4T are both from the same supplier. They trying to use force to make you buy their Repsol 4T which they severely overcharge. Total 4T is good stuff, dun be cheated to think its lousy quality. -

mobil 2T fully synetic at $14.

When i asked them whether can bring our own oil, they say cannot... WTF, n now i saw ur post about their oil prices, WTF again!!!

let me tell u the price for workmanship for changing oil is AT MOST $3.... (It can be FREE if u frenfren with the mech)
u go there change oil 3 times, u save $9... FOR WAT?? imagine u can get a litre of REPSOL oil for less than 16, u oredi lugi $15 for 3L, n yet they r smiling n luffing at u for ur ignorance... I rather pay $20 n NOT SEE THEIR pharking 'faeces' !!! -

cos i saw the rpm counter at a whelming 14000rpm, redline at 12000! -
so far ive not tried going more then 70 for any other bike then my varadero ..i used to have a gn125, that one go above 60 only, whole bike shake!!! 70 only... feels damm scary.... bec of the metal sounds and the vibration... but for varadero.. max ive gone os 110 (cant go more yet still running in) at 110, the bike feels smooth no vibrations.. only hting is rmp is at 11 hitting 12 already so i darenot wack too much...max speed as read on some sites is a steady 120crusising speed.. but it can hit 140 (that i dont know lah huh... havnt tired 140 yet)...Originally posted by WhitePhantom:i didnt try it.... but i curious about the top speed it can offer...
