i still got my bike from that shop and i managed to bring the "documentation fee" down to $100. its a good buy on my part judging by overall price and condition but i shall NEVER go back to that shop for other repairs and stuff again. Here's why...
After that $100-for-nothing documentation fee... the lady boss quoted me at the last minute another $15. FOR HANDLING AND DELIVERY CHARGES TO AND FROM LTA FOR THE TRANSFER. Where got so expensive for one stupid courier? The money you make from that stupid contract not enough meh? TAI GUO FEN LE!!!
In de end i still go ahead with the transfer after a lot of haggling, that was on saturday. The lady boss was not sure of the insurance price and told me to give her $300 first, it should cost more than that and the remainder i pay her when i get the bike on monday. I told her i come Monday evening and should have enough time for her to do the transfer and she said ok.
Monday afternoon i was just about the take a long long long mrt ride down to AMK ave 10 to collect my documents, but i decided to call and check first. The lady boss at first said "huh? transfer? wat transfer? wat bike number?" den after jogging her memory a bit she said i can't get my documents today. THE RELEVANT PEOPLE DOING THE TRANSFER COULD NOT DO IT BY TODAY BCOS MY LOG BOOK WAS WITH DUNNO-WHO BCOS THE BIKE WAS NOT AT THE SHOP BCOS OF DUNNO-WAT FOR DUNNO-WHY.
Lame excuse for forgetting to do my transfer.
I needed the bike that night... i had plans oredi. i had plans the next day which meant i couldn collect my documents without rescheduling my appointments. Its a loss on my part... time wasted... plans interrupted... GODDAMN IRRESPONSIBLE SHOP!
too bad lor... reschedule my appointments next day so dat can get my bike. the shop called me the day after and told me the documents were ready and the insurance costs $275. she had to refund me $25. when i reach there she return me my documents and made me sign a receipt to acknowledge that i had taken bac the ic and insurance AND the $25. after which she asked me if there was anything else if not i can go liao. she did not mention abt the refund nor did she automatically give it to me. i had to ask her abt it! den she gei siao gei siao say... "oh yah hor"... den lan lan return me the $25 and again make me sign in another book that say i took her bloody $25 dollars.
DISHONEST SHOP
You all read for yourself... dis kind of shop who wanna do business with them. if my eyes never open bigger then loogi big time liao. avoid it! its along the stretch of bike shops near eddy ong... i shall not mention names. -
they sell spark plugs for $25

i go down ntuc bras basah buy one, somemore using photocopied log card. if they say cannot, u go find the manager. -
