Hi Phantom riders...
Care to share wad mods have you all done 2 your bikes? or intending to do? Currently, my TA200 is totally stock...
Intend 2 change 2 a longer handlebar... something like shadow... anyone done b4? or know where got sell? -
Ways to improve physical appearance of Phantom:
-Chrome linings around front mud guard, tank n rear mud guard
-Increase the height n/or design of front signal lights
-Change to a bigger headlight/ Headlight cap
-Add 2 more small headlights
-Change handlebar
-Install windshield
-Change throttle grips, balancers
-Add leather grips n/or leather strips
-Change color of speedometer panel bulbs
-Install a tank bra
-Install a crashbar
-Install floorboard footrest for both rider n pillion
-Install sideboxes/ leather saddlebags
-Install mainbox
-Change the rear signal lights
-Change the front n rear No. plates
-Attach leather mud guard under rear No. plate

-Add fuel/ engine oil additives
-Denso Iridium Power Plugs (IW24)
-Change chain to Oring or Xring
-Change rear sprocket size ( big or small up to ur preference )
-Use Shell Vpower
-Use fully synthetic 2T n 4T
-Use better quality brake pads
-Change to a maintenance-free battery
-Change to better quality tires
etc.....etc......etc

Hey I need help here.
Read on the newspaper that Lee's Motor (located at Serangoon Rd) is selling Phantom 200, the advertisment clearly states that OTR is $4830 ( 1st part Insurance)
However Today I waste my time travelling there and the Salesperson quote me $5700 ( 1st party Insur + ERP reader + COE + all the things lah) Interest Rate is 4%
Then I ask him Why the advertisment said OTR states that $4830, he said to attract ppl to come. However he said that no shop sell as low as his shop....sure not??
So then i look around the motorshop at serangoon.... some selling $5900 + .
Do u guys know any idea which shop sell cheaper than Lee's Motor? -
To all Ta 200 rider, check your engine oil!!!!
Most of the Ta200, so call drinks up some of your engine oil, so check every 1000km to 1500km to ensure no overhaul is needed in future for your bike, for my case i travelled 1000km++ (2mths), the stick that use to check for engine oil, i cannot even see the oil level on the stick, that shows that how fast the oil have been taken up. Advised from my mechanic, use a thicker oil, something thats 25w above, check the oil level and of course, change the oil regular. Recommend Duckman brand,(dun know if i spell correctly)

as i m getting an old 2A bike (maybe RD350LC) to play with, until i get class2 then i buy a new class2 bike....... -

thats a very knnz gimmick they always use... my fren say Lee's Chopper very sharp one, chop chop chop... haha~ $4.8k is for those 40year old, ride 20 years no accident and full payment price...Originally posted by Adam&Eve:Hey I need help here.

i got mine at Ban Hon, 6.1k including interest liao... -

Hi there,
It's true that 4 stroke engines don't use 2T oil in its combustion process. The oil consumption that might occur in a 4 stroke engine is usually the result of a leaky piston ring. This means the engine oil is leaking pass the piston ring & into the combustion chamber. The 4T oil ends up being burnt up. This results in a drop of engine oil level. Always good to check on the oil level at least once in a week. If the amount of engine oil being burnt up is quite large, its best you check the piston/cylinder. The leaky piston ring might bring on bigger/more expensive damages in time to come!

been loving phantom since taking my tp, but if u really love crusiers.... i believe its better for u to save the $$ from installing new parts to improve the look, save it when u get ur 2A... den choose either dragstar-*classic, honda shadow, steed~ den start ur upgrading~ *hee*, cause i believe all 2A crusiers looks better wif those addition parts den phantom cause phantom is quite a small-sized bike actually~~ anyway just giving my opiumun~ i'm a phantom 200 rider too... waiting to take down my P-plate & go take 2A! *~~ [/b][/i]

me try to use aditives to smoothen the gear and works fine with me, just bought the catalyst for petrol at the motor show at 45 but havent try it yet.
me intend to keep the phantom for long time cos its really a cheap bike.. now goin for tp for class 2a next month but dont have the intention to change.... wait till i get my class 2... haha.
add motor up for engine oil == increase milage by 50km for my case..
add catalyst == yet to find out cos i just add it.. -

went there b4 ... the salesperson is not interested at all. I went inside the shop, there are 2 person there, one male n other female. I ask the girl some question, she dun know ,...ask me to wait for the guy(enage on the tel) then i wait for him to finish. After he finish, he saw me transparent one, walk here n there.... then I waited for 15 mins , I then Left ..... i wanna ask, ppl all tok bout this denso irridium spark plug, i know my mech shop got sell, but how does this spark plug improve the performance of the bike?
last longer? more power? easier to start bike?
i just wanna know from ppl who got use, before i decide to try, coz if it make me easier to start bike, my current brand of spark plug (the one in yellow box very common donno the name) doesnt give much prob. last longer oso no diff to me coz i always change every 9000k when i send my bike for full service.

i have used NGK BR8ES, Denso Iridium Power IW24 & NGK B9EV
well, for performance wise, Denso Iridium have got a better throttle response. However, whenever i change my plugs, Denso seems to have a cleaner tip (nicer brown color), whereas NGks looks more dark drown.... So i tink maybe Denso Iridium is more longer lasting...
as for easier to start, i tink NGK B9EV best lor.... BR8ES jus a cheap n normal plug... no comments
but compare the price of them

NGK B9EV $7
Denso iridium $16
which one u wil take??
