well there are a few:
Honda:
1.Shadow
2.steed (old model alredi)
suzuki:
1.Intruder (shaft driven)
Yamaha:
1.Virago (very old model) shaft driven
2.Dragster shaft driven
these few i can remember---btw i am riding yamaha virago 400 -

Shaft driven means the bike's rear wheel is driven by a shaft, instead the usual chain.

Normally bikes are chain-driven. Piaggo believes in belt drive and BMW believes in shaft drive.
Shaft drive the theory is the same as major four wheelers and above. Shaft driven bikes will tend to be not that fast when pickup and have a vulnerability of breaking. A replacement will be around 1k plus. I tried that FP dragstar the other day. The foot brake's location seems to be too far for me. Difficult to brake in emergency. But still i like dragstar. Dragstar the newer ones are classic edition.
There are some more choppers like Honda Shadow Slasher, Honda NV400. -

so i guez shaftdriven r not so gd bikes la?... isit? since if its spoilt nid 1k + 2 repair.. so ex man...
wat abt choppers ard the 4k range? gd ones 2 reccomend...
