Care to share whats the diff between spec 1 and spec 2?
except for the HISS system which means a chip embedded into the key so that no other key can be used to start the engine... (correct mi if i m wrong! 
)
wat is the price for a new one now? those juz bought care to share? thank!!
wat r the maintenance to do and hw much does it cost generally??
m plannin 2 buy 1 soon... -
I dunno how true it is.... Heard from a instructor that Vtec's 4 valves opens at 7k/rpm and Spec II opens its valves at only 4k/rpm. Market price now for Spec II think is ard $11k+.

the spec2 valve will open at around 6.5 ..the vtec will open at around 7.5
..........when spec2 valve open and u never drag the bike 
,,,,and change gear when the valve just open,its not gd for the valve 
,open and close the valve will spoilt it soon 
,,,,too early open valve not really that gd ,it means if never drag the bike after the valve open,,,after few months the valve will need servicing.....vtec open valve slightly later which u can change gear before the valve open ,,,,,so i think vtec is much more better,,,so far i seldom see that vtec need to service valve,,,,,,,but spec2 i have seen a few already sent for servicing for valve.......correct me if i am wrong...
i am not a mechanic nor a S4 lover....just hear from my friends which have use both bikes. -

if yes den get vtec.....if not too much $$ to spare get a ver s
if u r gonna keep it 4 quite some time den its advisable to get a spec 2 but remm when vtec opens..the petrol drinks like water like dat
anyways u pass so long liaoz still havent buy bike??? -

the specs i'm not too sure...coz i rode b4 ver s and vtec b4 nia

reason coz i choose vtec over ver s coz of weight... ver s very heavy for mi... vtec very much lighter... but among the vtec i heard spec 1 better... but spec 1 run out of stock oreadi and i wanna get a new one... difference is specII lighter by 20kg over specI
specI the vtec comes at 6750rpm whereas
specII vtec comes at 6250rpm
can consider getting the new xjR400 by yamaha too.
pretty impressive exterior and suspensions. and not as common as the super4

is it $12k exact? ur OTR means wat? now got alot of version of OTR... is it wif new road tax, coe, other administration fees (standard) or is it wif IU and new insurance?? insurance first party one?? which company and cost hw much??

btw, i ask 3 shop for the price of VersionS and vtec, this is what i get
1 FS plate Vtec for $8.8k
1 FQ Version S 99 model, selling @ 5.8k
1 FP version S 97 model selling @ 5.5k
so i am trying to know what the markets price for Version S and Vtec, and what to look out for during shopping for them
