Stains on exhaust...

phantom 200 riders can share how you all get rid of the stains on the exhaust???My pipe tio foot prints, road tar.... cannot seem to get rid of them...

Not riding phantom but you can try this...
First use Autosol to remove all the stains. Then use WD40 to prevent it from rusting. -
my phantom's pipe i use autosol.
autosol is to metal what kiwi is to boots
i never use wd40 though. funny smell, i think its more for working parts and less for polish. autosol enuff to prevent rust. in fact i use it for all the metal parts on my phantom; wing mirror lah, side cover lah, speedo meter that part, etc etc.
oso donno if u do this, but i highly reccommend that if your bike kena rain, once under shelter immediately use cloth and wipe the metal parts. assuming u used autosol on the metal parts, it will shine back very nicely; very bad if u let the rainwater dry by itself, one kind dirty and dull. -

scrap off lah...hahahaha....dun bother lah...no point cos the exhaust too hot...hard to mantain...

my exhaust after every ride.. will have the popcorn sound.. listen liaoz also know damn hot.. anyone of you know how to improve on this? and where to buy autosol? what it looks like?

I think WD40 is corrosive at high/elevated temperature. U might want to reconsider spraying WD40 on your pipe .... -

today go shop shop.. cannot find the autosol you guys mention lehz.. only see "autogym"?????? don't same or not.. so didn't buy.. haiz..

its packaged in a rectangular box, inside is a tube of the autosol. the box is mostly black with yellowish gold design at the sides. easier to look for it at hardware or DIY shops, ask at the counter confirm they will know wat it is.
my hardware shop i saw a few diff types of autosol; same brand but diff purposes. in particular is one where the box instead of the yellow-gold colour, it is light blue and it says 'autosol motorcycle'. i read it sez something like for the non-metal parts of bike, like polish like dat. anyone ever tried this can tell me if any good?
