Tot of getting this bike after getting my 2b, roughly how much it cost for the bike and first payment??

i too was thinking of gettin this bike... look good, the sound wah lauuu!! damm 'garang' but i hate the posture when im on the bike.... too low... (but i guess need abit of time to get used to it)
anyway last i checked its 5K++
downpayment usually 20% ( u need guarantor) if u down 30% then no need..
if you need the sound, and like choppers bike, then well this is the one..
if you like super4 type of bikes, and dont intend to speed but intend to cruise, then i personally recommend varadero 125 (abit pricey but i feed it worth....) -
Are u getting the 150 or the 200 one?
i myself am riding the TA200, bought 1st hand at 6.1k everything, ex but bo pian, insurance freaking high for <21...
for my case, i paid 1.5k downpayment, paying 2 years $190+ for 24 months...
u need a guarantor if u r <21, or else should be ok...
After riding the bike for 1month+, i find it a good and comfortable ride, as its a chopper, dun expect much on pick-up and top speed wise, but for everyday travelling and long distance, its a fine ride~
i have rode the bike to kota tinggi, abt 50km from woodlands checkpoint, though not very far, it has proven its comfort! Great tranport vehicle!
One of the best fuel consumption u can get! I can get 38km/L, and a full tank + reserve can go at least 400km... maintinence wise, nothing much too, only engine oil~

Hey guys wif Phatom 150/200, maybe we can exchange some pointers here. I am really interested to boost the performance and stablity of it.
Original components used on the bike itself is not that good. Want to know what parts to change for better performance, while maintaining stability and of coz, must be able to pass inspection.
Here is what I found out (Phantom 200):
Using pure V-Power, the pick-up and high speed performance are better, esp. at around 110km/h and above...
Using pure Shell Advance Ultra 4, performance drop slightly at low speed, however, at high speed, it is much smoother in acceleration. Using a portion mix of Shell Advance Ultra 4 1.2l and GearUp (3 cap full), transmission is smoother, low speed acceleration is better.
Out from factory, the choke seems to have problem, causing jerky acceleration and deceleration. Idling has to tune up, after adjusting the choke (air-intake) too.
Anyone has a good workshop wif good mechanics who really know how to tune bike, no matter how low-class Phantom is? My workshop mechanics not that good, can oni do normal service. They noe nuts on real racing and fine-tuning bikes. -

For normal, 8 litre of petrol for abt 320km. -
maybe its my riding style, that time was during run in period, speed <80km/h and i was using castrol Gold, i tried to see how much it could go, reach 370+ throttle laggy, but i still try to go, til throttle totally no response... so i guess turn reserve can go at least 30-40km more...Originally posted by daniuge:huh?! 400km??? Guys, i got a FU black/grey phantom. Just COI will do, 26 x 160, insurance till jan or feb. Anyone out there or got friensa interested can call me, ok! Cause got 2 bike leh, so decided to give away my phantom and keep my runner, call me at 90901094, ok, thanks.
