Need some help/advice on getting a 2nd hand vehicle.

  Hi all,
  
  I am a novice (knows nothing about bikes) and I am considering getting a vehicle for myself. Was thinking of getting a 2nd hand skipper/scooter/motorcycle (whichever is cheaper and in relatively good condition) to last up to 2 - 3 years before it gets scrapped. Hopefully the price falls below $800.
  
  Am upgrading for 2A now. so was thinking of upgrading to a bigger bike after 2 to 3 years time.
  
  Can someone give some advice?

  avoid those black listed shops
  stand by a few hundred buck for repairs.

  get a cheap TZR easily below 1k for over 5 yrs, maintaincec wise

  anybody no how much is it to replace a "kui tohed" pipe to the original? btw its for krr150
