BBDC "Defencive Riding course"

Just wondering...anyone heard of this course,
BBDC "Defencive Riding course" or any one went for the course before?
How vital is this course for better and safer riding?

those who wish to ride their bike to camp have to go thr the defensive riding skill.. it kinda compulsary. erm.. if u are recommended by ur csm of ur camp, there wl be 50% subsidise. if u go on ur own, it wil cost u 100% which is $50.Originally posted by visual:Just wondering...anyone heard of this course,

bascially they wil teach u stuff like counter skiing, low speed control with 1 hand and 1 finger braking etc..... its fun and useful... -

the way you all describe, like not bad ley...sounds very useful...ok lah i will register for it in nov (after exams lah)

i tink the course is $60 for public... $50 is for nsf, by which they will be further subsidised 50%...
Basically juz a ½hr theory lesson, than riding in the min-circuit...
pylon slalom, one-hand riding round pylon slalom and u-turning wif 1 hand...
2nd part will be skidding with the bike... better ones will proceed to learn counter-skidding, quite fun...
than into the classroom again, play with the stimulator...
Grand Finale go into the big circuit kup corner... figure of 8 to crank course to filter lane than to figure of 8 again... round and round... as fast as u want~ but my time got a lot of slow riders, so can only tail gate~ =(
than go classroom, take cert, go lor... 4hr+ course... if no subsidy and free parking in camp, i surely wun go~ haha... only plus point was a day off~ haha... -
