Problems faced by a Newbie ....

I got a few problem right now.... And I juz bought a KTM Exc 200 bike
The problem are these,
1st day
1) A lot of white smoke when engine start( friend said that because bike did not start engine for so long)
2)My engine always die during traffic light, but I cltch in also no use.(friend said that engine still cool)
3)Hard to enage neutral
2nd day
4)Cannot start engine....kick n kick also cannot. (friend said maybe Spark plug Spoil)
These are the main problems now, can anyone help... I'm really a newbie to all these.... Thanks

By the way I 1st day kana Summon already because I park my bike below my house without season parking ( because Sat n Sunday, HDB close, then cannot get season parking) Can I appeal? Sign...cost me $25/- , scare today kana again!

2) This could be due to your idleing, try turning it up.
3) try changing engine oil.
4) err... try choke? If still cannot then try push start. -
hi,,,,how long ago was the bike since last start?? if really for quite a few days or weeks,,,,,,white smoke is of cos alot of it, but if still got a lot of white smoke is either 2t too much or the 2t is set to a higer consumption rate
when engine die of when in junction or stopping can due to some problems,,idiling too low,carb got water inside,or did u forget to pull back the choke??
hard to engage neutral.maybe due to engine oil....how long ago was the last engine oil change?? or maybe the gear inside the engine got some broken teeths in it,making it hard to engage gear....and back to neutral ,,,,,,,easier way is to change engine oil or ask the shop where u buy it and ask them
,,,,i not so familiar with scrambler bikes 
,,dunno whether wat i say is the problems u facing is rite or not,but for most other kind of bikes,all these should be the few answers to yr questions.

smoke is ok one....if too long never start bike
the rest the guys have said liaoz..so i oso dun bother to photocopy again
as for ur last prob.....mayb u too long never start bike dats y the plug foul...try changin anotehr plug and try again..if cannot..den check ur idel needle...c got ppl ti ti siao siao ur bike or not......
if all else above fails....check the carb 4 water
by rite wr should have no problem startin at all coz it dun have a batt one so no such thing as batt die -

2)is ur clutch too near?? tune up idling higher.... cos ur bike don need to warm up.... no fuel pump mah....
3) maybe engine oil need too change liao..
4) plug.. maybe.. or ur carb overflow liao... try off ur fuel cock if park 4 overnite ..

if u had parked at the motobike parking lots W/O a coupon/season parking, u only fine $8 leh..... take note of dat
well, as for ur problems, its very common for newbies, my 2nd day oso like dat, dunno wat 2 do, but here's some advise:
Excessive smoke is ok once in a while, this shows ur 2T system is working fine, however u may wish to adjust ur 2T intake, but..... haha, urs is KTM, premix model, thats y u must clear ur petrol tank 1st b4 attempting to add more/less 2T!
As for startups, engage the choke 1st, (but u must know where is it lar!) shit siarrgh, i 2nd day didnt know where my choke was!!!! kick n kick for 20 min for nothing..!!! If not, learn it the hard way (push start). After that u may wish to go ur mech's to retune the carb n change the plug to a hotter one....
as for stalling at stoppages, this may be due to ur idling pt.. (beginner juz buy bike always face idling problems), try to tune it up 1st if u know how, after that go to ur mech's n RETUNE the carb

after that is for season holders... so 25 bucks fine... -
KTm200 is a 2 stroke bike. White smoke is very common in 2 stroke bike. Most likely due to too much 2T. Due to the heavy wear and tear of this particular bike, the 2T input is quite high and unburnt excess 2T turn out as white smoke.
Bike not idling properly maybe due to too low idling rate, improper settings of carburettor esp pilot jet and the pilot screw.
Gear problems maybe due to gear oil which have lost it's properties or worn out clutch plates..Other factors may contribute too.
My advise is pay a trip down to Paul Chow to have it checked.Trail Culture Engineering 282 MacPherson road. 65474454

scrams have lighter flywheels, which means that dying from idling even when warmed up is not uncommon... so... make it a habit to play throttle yeah?
plug-fouling occurs frequently for scrams... sad to say... KTM is notorious for that. buy a spare plug and keep with you la.. if your bike is very very hard to start again, change the plug.
but please do as mechanica suggested. it's after all a second-hand bike, so you've no idea what's wrong with it. best bring it for a thorough check to solve all hidden problems before they surface one-by-one. better to do everything one shot, or keep going back every other day?? -
If I am not wrong, 2 strokes scramblers have something known as a racing clutch which do not like to be operated at extremely low rpm. Today I pass through ERP without cash card. What are the fine for it?
Heard CTE night time also got ERP -
u can go to
www.lta.gov.sg
but in general, pls take note that ERP for EXPRESSWAYS is only from morning 7.30- 9.30
but for CBD areas like orchard, shenton way etc, is whole day until 7pm -
dun worry the fine is only $10 plus the ERP charge...
that means if that time it charge 50cents
u would have to pay $10.50
