just got my posting & gonna enjoy the rest of my ns life!
posted to driver at stts dont know stand for wat but it a saf driving sch or something like dat at sambawang , once i get de saf driving licence can i go to normal driving sch , say ssdc or bbdc or any private driving sch & just take de class 3 tp test ????

for conversion, i believe it's some modified driving course to test your competency... not too sure, sorry... -

before u goin ORD, u will actuali be able to convert ur saf driving licence into civilian driving license... u can check it out wif ur MTO or other MTL personnel......

be a driver also good nah... can get free licence after ns no need to waste $1000-$2000 to be a student in any driving school. Somemore right after your ns u can do many thing wif your Class 3 licence neh... (e.g. some job require u to have class 3 licence). BTW see you tommorrow at sembawang camp... kekeke!

When u go there then u will know what is mset.Go there fucking slack one lah..smoke till u die..but some of the ic's there quite fucked up,n the rps oso.Not really enjoy lor,become driver...if u pass then kena posted to 1st transport then bery shack.. -
Congrats! But be careful, drivers are also in list of "Kena Charge Most Often" list. Little mistakes also can kena charge. i.e. your rover only kiss a civilian car bumper, no scratches, no damage BUT if the civilian driver go complain, that's it...finish liao...

For a SAF driver ... you will need to click 7000 KM during your NS life to get a civilian license ... During this 7000KM you cannot get into any accidents .., or any offences on road while driving a SAF vehicles ...
When you are posted to stts ... it is a school that provides training for those who have just been posted to DRIVER course ... You as a driver will attend and practice all different stages as in a pte school ... but you will learn more then what a driving centre is teaching ...
Upon finishing your course ... you will be posted to a camp ... (mostly 1st transport) to serve the rest of your NS life ...
When you are going to ORD ... you will be posted back to stts to attend a SAF driver class A course ... (with this class A course then you can get your civilian license) ... after this class A course you will be posted back to your original camp ...
When the time you get your pink IC ... those clerks at your camp(MANPOWER Branch) will issue you a letter for your SAF license to convert into a civilian license at SSDC (if i am not wrong ... not very sure bout which driving centre also)

During your NS life be it you have your SAF driving license or not ... you can by all means go for courses at BBDC ... CDC ... SSDC ... or any pte school ... but you will have to pay for taking license at all this schools ... -

got exercise u also must go, training oso must attend. overnight u also must stay awake, and overseas training must participate.
as a driver, one of ur leg is already in the DB. so do watch it.
1st tpt is the MOST GILAK transport unit man. lol.

at the end of ur ns life, and u meet some targets eg. 7000km
and accident free record, u will get to convert ur military license to a civillian one lor.
