When the fiberglass packing material blows out of the silencer, excess turbulence forms in the silencer and the turbulence causes a restriction in the exhaust system. This restriction makes the engine run flat at high rpm.
Sparks can also be caused by unburnt fuel travelling through the exhuast, in this case, your rings could be wearing out, or you just need to lower your main jet.
Dislodged carbon flinging around inside your exhuast will also tend to combust upon exiting your silencer due to it's temperature and the sudden increase of oxygen around it.
In short, if it's blown packing, your bike is NOT ok.
But you can carry on riding.
then again, dun listen to me. throw your bike away, it's going to explode any minute now! go go go! wat u waiting for? no see coffin wun drop tears sibo?
