wash carbureter liao, bike like going to die off????

I'm riding Ta 200, just serviced my bike include washing of carureter, but feel that the bike engine like going to die off when was coming to a stop. Wondering, so when reach home, dun know whether is idiling problem, so decided to turn the knot myself, i also dun know whether its the correct one to turn, a black knot on the right side, the bike like.... behave so differently before/after the servicing.
Anyone experience the same thing or it had something to do with the mechanic???

you may have adjusted the air screw instead of the idling screw. tha air screw should never be adjusted. take it bak to the mech. he will be able to help you better.

There is two screws on your carb ... one is for air and one is for fuel ... my advise would be you can try taking it back to the mech that you have serviced your bike ... he will know how to tune your bike ...

Send my bike to other bike shop liao, problem had been fix, but discovered another problem, a BIG ONE. The mechanic told me that my engine or ..... watever it is........... is very wet!!!! that means my spark plug is wet, which also means that my bike actually drinks up my 4T engine oil!!!! He also told me that he had seen few similar case for ta 200, and told me that my bike anytime can send to scrap liao!!!! My god......Fu plate, milleage only 7700++ km, tell me anytime my bike will say bye bye to me!!!!!!
Or else wait till my bike dies on me, can be prepare to spent $1000++++ to open up my engine to fix the problem. Sigh sigh...... Hope my bike can tahang long long

I've(riding 150SP) encountered this problem b4 also.The mechanic who fixed the problem told me it's because the mech who wash my carb didn't do a good job and there's water remaining in the carb. then next time must ask my mech to wash n dry it properly liao.....
anyway, i tink its too exxagerating to say that runner180's phantom goin to spoil any moment lor... Some mototiam ppl like to scare ppl out of their minds n then offer help to them as to tok their money

There are few way the engine oil can get into the combusion chamber, usually is the piston rings broken. Shoud not happen to a new bike, unless you really push it to the limit. If the 4T oil get into the piston, you will see black smoke.
Try smell the exhaust gas abit, if the 4T leak in to piston, you should smell some oil in the exhaust gas. Normally 4strokes engine should be quite clean.
Dont adjust the carburetor if you are not sure about it. Pay a bit to a good mechanic for some tuning.
4 strokes bike should sure quite lasting, no problem to ride for 10years if you really taking care.
Maybe someone can recommend a good mechanic ? -

Thanks!!! Anyway the workshop that i went to is along yio chu kang rd, opp serangoon stadium. Anyone been to that workshop, looks quite ok to me. I actually get a brand new splitfire spark plug, the mechanic then took my bike go round for ard 10min, come back and then show me the spark plug, gosh!! black black one!!! they blow my throttle and told me about the problem, engine blah blah blah!!!!!!
They also told me for phantom, use lousy 4T, lousy petrol(92), but use the best spark plug. And to sevice the bike every 1000km,,,,,,,,,,

You better avoid this shop....
TA200 has a higher compression ration, don't use petrol lower than 95, it will cause problem to your engine.
This 4 strokes engine has only 4T oil to cool + lubricate the gears, clutch... You should use a better 4T oil, use some semi-sync oil, price around $12.
Service the bike every 1000km ???!! Like that, I need to service my bike every 2 weeks ?
You just need to change the 4T oil every 3000-6000KM (ard 3 months), + spark plug + check filter etc. -
