the places they race in initial D are based on real roads in japan.
basically if you get a map of gunma, you can see where takumi races, ie akina, akagi, myougi, usui. -

I think even if singapore got also not much chance to play. TP so many roadblocks nowadays.

if ppl knock u and u claim them jialat jialat, still ok lah, can understand as they didnt suffer the pain like we do when we fall and skin rub against tarmac. to me, tp has a few rules which is not quite reasonable to me
--careless driving =6 pts
--Driving without due care or reasonable consideration for other road users. = 9 pts
--Reckless or dangerous driving = 12 pts
if they wanna book u from this, there do not actually need a true genuine reason
there r some brudders here who got booked for playing the corner at the S course at YMCA, he wif this 2 other friends got 9 demerit pts...

personally i think it's BECAUSE we don't have roads like this that we have all these so called ah beng racers, becoz the only thing they know how to do is open their bloody throttle to play drag racing.

with roads like this, you actually learn how to control your bike, better skill, less chance of tipping over.
you're putting it as though the japanese riders don't buang over there. they do, and the numbers are high, not to mention there're even cases of cars breaking the railings and falling down the cliff.
yes it's a cliff, that aspect alone would already instill caution in most sensible riders, beng or not.
the vehicle insurance industry has been making a loss for quite a few years, not just the past couple years because of the insurgence of 2b bikers. it's because they've been charging too low rates, and were afraid to spoil the market by increasing the prices.
singapore is a small market, our riders are limited, if they were to charge us the same price as they do other countries like japan, us, europe, they'd be bankrupt long ago. the market there is bigger, the larger number of riders offset the costs incurred for the infloated payouts.
if you want to blame anything, blame it on the fact that we're a small nation. -
actually singapore not say dun have these kinda roads lah... some more similar condition, down hill, slightly sandy, some speed strips, unlit at nite, only difference is the length, which makes a really big difference.

Just FYI, they are not stupid, they wun waste their time setting up a block at 99 bends, basically becoz anyone with money can engage lawyer and fool them ard their fingers as it is almost impossible to get a logged readings of their speed in 99 bends. Then its their words against ur words and TP dun like cases where they "lose".
As for that 3 frens u mentioned, i guess they have to pay for the price of fun. Worth it or not, u decide. That road states 50km/hr. Going at 70km/hr (which most of us are doing at that speed), i dun hear ppl got booked. So i guess ur frens are either using all the lanes there, or they are going higher than 70km/hr. and of coz, it depends on what bikes they riding too. -

u mention anyone wif money can engage a lawyer, well i must say many young riders nowadays cant, n i mus admit i m one of those..
to get ur speed, theres no need to be a block, they dun even need to stop u, just need to snap a pic, all ur details blah blah
TP dun like to lose case, but well, up till now, i still never heard of pple whom have walked out of it freely,
either way out, they may have escaped the demerit pts, but most of it they still end up wif the fine,
if u remeber sometime back, in delphiforums, i forgot which forum,someone got 12 pts for dangerous driving when he never do anything at all wif his 2 friends somewhere near selegie
he engage a lawyer, he escaped the pts, but he ended wif a 2k fine or something..
anyway, end of the day, its ur word against the governent,
chances not high..
