I think if the pillion sits in an awkward position like with arms folded etc. the rider should accomodate his riding style to her pillioning style by slowing down and don't corner so fast. So more reaction time and less possible accidents.

2day i pass by aye.. see a kawa accident.. the "head" smash sia.. i look ard for the rider and happen to see its MY FRENZ. pengz.. i kan jiong sia.. i straight away take out my hp and call all my frenz.. and him to check if he is ok (im on bike at tat time.., heng dear ride slow.. so i can sms) lolx.. anyway heng he is ok.. just scratches all over his body..
he happened to be at a blind spot of a lorry.. then the lorry kana him oso duno ar.. stil drive away.. now his bike with tp..
pls hor.. all my frenz.. pls.. ride safely.. i dun wish to know such ting happen again.. i really get the shock out of my life when i saw its my frenz.. the feeling were really strong, the tgt of giving up bike ever come to mi.. -

erm.... hehe slow as in we still in traffic jam, then i was riding like 30km/hr max... hehe But when after the jam, when traffic gets smooth, i asked my dear to keep her hp liao... =)
