After enduring it for half a year trying to save money, i give in.... better throw then sorry.... the irc tires really cannot make it. change to other brands for $116. dont know whether its gd so dont dare to recomment ppl.

Do remember to maintain good lubrication and tension on your chain/sprocket too.
Heard from a friend that his chain snapped in Malaysia highway. Almost met his maker.
You really do not want to allow your chain to cause your bike to jam. Perhaps locking the wheels (if unfortunate enough), helping you taste the ground (at top speed).
A little investment on precaution goes a long way in saving you the trouble to "heal up".

ya, i just skidded on monday, cannot walk for 3 days, limping around, muscle aches, was raining that day...... luckily i was cornering at low speed, nonetheless , still skidded, so any recommendation on tires to change to?
my bike got scratches mah, sad.....lucky thing got crash bar -

for phantom, even if u using the best tires, stil must be careful during rainy days. -

I honestly feel that even the best tyres perform poorly (may be just as poor as the cheap ones...) when the road is wet.
You are actually paying for grip only during "optimum" conditions.
Had my first skid & crash on a scrambler. It was just after a light drizzle. Not enough even to wet your shirt. But that is another story...

It's been raining quite frequently, so please be careful when on the road. No matter what type of tyre you are using..... be safe than sorry.

What kinda tyres do Phantom200 have in the after market categories? Many campmates riding Phantom200 and they're a bit tired of the IRC. Any good affordable but gripping tyres for Phantom200? What's the size and profile of the front and rear? Tyre pressure?

I do agree with all of U regarding the stupid IRC tyres!!!
I change my to Perillis (I think that is how it spell ...nvr check).
Very good in gripping and very good in picking up speed due to the good grip. Affordable too.
I change both of the tyres at LAB for $140.. I believe can get it cheaper if U get it straight from Derrick or Darren.. (Warning.. Get the service from the gentlemen rather from the other gender so as to have better deal.. if U know what I mean.. Sorry but No offence to the other gender.. OK??

Well.. I got my straight from the Mechanic from the workshop of LAB as he advised me to change due to the useless IRC.. He might get afew bucks out from it though but I do not mind since the service is good and friendly. : ) Quite happy about it eventhough I waited for abt 3hrs... erghh.....
The tyres have since then serve me well and very happy with it as I have experienced a few sharp turnings which the IRC will definitly fail to accomplish..
Still ...warning for everyone... Do not take everythings for granted... Slow down if U think there is danger upfront... esp when raining... REMEMBER... Slipper when wet..... hehhe

our front tire in stock is 90/90 but they giving us 100/80 which looks slightly bigger... whereas the rear tire is same 130/90
i now pump my tires using the digital pump in certain petrol kiosks
front= 260
rear= 270 -

hey not to rub it on... just want to let the fellow phantom riders know abt this... frankly, i dont really feel that lab is always the best place to shop... the tires are not from labs. further more u have to wait 3 hrs for the things to get done where for my case, the place where i fix the tires got no souls around.. funny rite..Originally posted by Bluegazer:Ayah.. .. I am a new rider and dun have much bikers kaki leh... Most of my friends r not riders so only go to famous store recommended in the net.
In fact I also agree w what U said abt LAB.
Only best if we were to buy those buy-and-moved items but when come to those buy-and-install items... which we r required to go to their workshop.. the waiting time cannot make it lah... TOO LONG liao....
I think I still need more recommendation..
Do any of U, fellow bikers have any recommandation?? Best if U know the Boss or any of the ppl working inside.. hehe Then I can use Ur name to get some discount?? or we can go together??
