Daelim Magma Bike Discussion

Hi everyone,
I'm a newbird here and would like to seek the advice from the lao chiaos here. I know that there were a few discussions on the Daelim Magma but not that much information leh.
I would like to find out more about this bike. Maybe:
1. How is it if I just want to ride it for my 2B year?
2. Any silver or black ones around?
3. Come with sissybar or not?
4. What is a good 2nd hand price to pay?
5. Any complaints about the bike?
6. Any good things?
7. How to maintain the chrome-plating?

I got a better deal for you. A Daystar. It looks a lot better than other 2B choppers. Super duper low consumption.... $10 for 400km!!!!! I got 2 of this bike. Do let me know if you are interested. Dun worry, I not some dealer. One belongs to my brother and the other belongs to my brother-in-law.

I can say it served me well during my 2B days.
1) Fairly well for the beginning, after which u will hate it for the lack of power when with ur kakis. Trying to keep up with them.
2) Black yes, but not shiny ones.
3) You can change to watever kind of bar but recommended to keep it short like stock condition coz the power to manoevue is not much.
4) FQ magmas (the ones with VT 125 stickers on the side tank instead of the MAGMA125) shd be lesser than 2.5K now. In fact, I think it shd be readily available for less than 2K.
5) Complaints? not really. However, forget about going back to the deal CCK for maintanience, DIY will be MUCH cheaper.
6) it USED to be the best looking cruiser in 2B (IMHO) till the phantom200 pops along. The fuel consumption is sure one plus poiint.
7) lots of TLC and autosol or brasso.

i am glad that the local net is so full and supportive of bike forums
i believe RockeR is looking for a cheaper 2B cruiser as a learner machine. Daystar is a great bike and its pretty bike in the market, thus the bike will cost more and of course, resale will be higher too loh.

On the other hand, by the time u got you r license by estimated end of this year, the price of TA200 and daystar might be adjusted. We just have to wait for your license loh

it's an ugly bike and it's sucks.
but that's just me.
