just a simple question.
were these 50+ bikes going out as a group, or where they caught seperately via roadblock, etc?
coz 30 minutes get 60 bikes... break record leh. usually see roadblock, they handle 1-2 bikes already need 5-10 minutes. -

Are the blue uniform you guy refer to coverall?? if it is, they are specalise in modify engine. They got the authority to bring you back for any modify. Saw them once settling road block at Marine South few month back. They roughly inspect on the spot. Also check licence and insurance by afew TP, white uniform. No modify bike let go immediately. For those modify bike, think have to go back with them.

from the post i understand dat the bikers did not go out in one big group but were minding their own business, just that they all happen to pass that place.
my guess is dat the TP department will give some crap reason like there was a BIG BUNCH of disorderly riders creating trouble and suspected gang activity of something... which the public wouldn't know the truth bcos all they know was so many bikes hauled at one time.
wat did they hope to accomplish by this operation???
Did they give any consideration for those who's transportation is an essential part of their daily life? maybe even their livelihood???
On wat grounds do they have to suspect them of illegal modifications if the riders had no chance to speak to the TP, the TP didn ask them to start their engines to listen!!
If it was a routine check, why were the riders not informed of their offences before being told to surrender their IC and license?
my answer to all those questions? ABUSE OF AUTHORITY
Selective discrimination against non-class 2 bikers. It could be very possible that one of the TP was offended by bikers when not on duty and wanted to get revenge. its such an immature and inconsiderate action taken by them i doubt their superiors would approve of it.
wat are we going to do abt it?? i'm not gonna fuckin sit around and let it happen to me. Something must be done! Enough is enough![/b] -
so the best way is get ur district MPs to complain & make them explain wads goin that day. Cause so much inconvience, if i there sure go back make complaint to my MP. f**king irritatin TPs nowadays getting more n more kuai lan. Btw in Singapore size count unless the MPs dun want ur votes next time round if not they sure do something think if ur MP happen to be minister lagi BEST!!! but think Best if it is the minister of traffic and transport lolx...

On 17/08/02 late afternoon ard 4 plus, i rode past there too...& guess wat i saw 7 or 8 TPs along the road stopping bikes. Luckily i was riding damn slow coz i was agitated by a driver who cut into my lane earlier on, so i cut him back lor then i go super slow.......... so that the idiot cannot overtake me..... hehe....
Si buay heng ah...... they din stop me and i kay siao never see them. Steady man.......

Freakin hell, not only bikes, a lot of cars kena. 10 Aug first round a few of my frens kena. Straight after coming out of Pasir Gudang, the moment he clear Tuas Checkpoint, kena impounded liao for mods.
Some more he racing OFFICIALLY for SMSA event in PG, but they still don't give chance. What I heard they said " Wat u do in M'sia is ur business... now in Singapore. You should have towed the car."
They all are cracking down hard on illegal mods... damn jia lat.. guilty parties although sian, but not so bad cuz u dare to mod, u gotta face the music... what I'm afraid is those innocent parties going Orchard for a late nite movie, then happen to drive near a group of street racers... TP see, catch all back... boh tai boh ji kena impound... sad man.. -

well...i think that is an operation to check all bikes la....though its not a good thing but it happens....anyway operations for cars do happen too....along mandai road sometime back they catch those with extremes bodykits( disallowed or never meet criteria type) one....its an operation to sweep all mods...for car easy to see cos bodykit outside and engine easy to see or hear...for bikes i guess is they impound all la...since it is a busy road and bike here mod there mod dunno mod wat lor....

if you put yourselves in the TP's shoes, and you see an extremely large group of bikers (40-50) going out together, even if you don't want to catch, dutybound you still have to catch right?
of course lah got a few ppl really damn suei, unknowingly follow the group then oso tio tua go back.
but then why they chose to let go the class 2 bikers, this is really a good question.
