Which 2B bike

I am new 2B rider - which bike should choose Scrambler or Chopper(e.g. Phantom). Need your advice! Thanx

you must see for what use? height? budget? maintanence? upgrading to 2A or not? consider all these lor before you decide which bike to buy. I ride phantom 200. for phantom, maintanence is low, fuel saving, low in height, speed wise is average lor. if you are considering phantom 150, then got difference. for difference please see the thread on phantom200 vs 150. The problem I like both type bikes:
Pros:
1) cruiser -for style and loud exhaust(!), stable ride
2) scrambler - light, off -road ability, a lot of good models(WR200, DT200, XR200, DR200, KLR 200 etc), cheap maintenance
Cons:
1) cruiser - cannot see traffic, 'cos its low, not good when I upgrade to 2A/2, no good 2B cruisers around (maybe with the exception of TA200 - OK only)
2) scrambler - high seat height, uncomfortable for long distance, not suitable for pillion riding.
What other points can you help me decide? -

chopper cannot see traffic?? actually it don't make much differences.. sitting on a TA200 you can see further than someone sitting on a car liaoz.. -

hmmm u got go trials ant? if u reli like to go trials & u go often mayb can tk scrambler lor... but i tin 2b bike dun tk too $$$ bike tk a normal gd & cheap to test 1st den mayb after dat change..

i think it would be better to find out what category of bike you eventually wanted to ride in the long run when u have ur class 2.
Sports bike? Cruisers? Scramblers? or just plain road bikes?
Then after you have determine your "future"...then u might want to gain experience by riding similar smaller 2B category now so that it will enhance your experience and prepared yourself for the bid bikes in the near future.
If you are not planning to get even a 2A. Just felt like getting a transport bike...then get bike like TA200 or sportsbike like SP and TZM...they are pretty common but there are reasons why it is so common...
if you are going all the way, get a cheap bike to prepare for all the falls and scrathes that will occur. You will not feel somewhat heartpain if the paints comes off after the bike falls when the sidestand is not kicked properly...and stuffs like that...

Kips is definitely the next up and coming 2B sports bike especially since Honda already stop SP production.Moreover BRAND NEW Kips parallel import going from as low as $4650 for 2nd party insurance.Cheap and good.Don think will regret buying Kips.More power somemore.Power valve system quite shiok as well!!!Originally posted by paikuakia^^:buy kips cheaper

kips is not bad..... i riding kips too....
but it a bike that gets hot very easily, and cool down very easily too
but from how to post.... dun think u are really into sports bike.....
consider carefully lor...... all the best....
