Please help...I'm a newbie

Hi everyone out there...I'm totally newbie to bike....Thinking of getting one soon...but need some extra infos...Some of my questions might seem stupid to u guys, but 've spent time looking in the previous posts coundnt find so better ask here waiting for some kinda guy to answer loh.
Here are things im wondering
1. What bike is suitable for a newbie?...errr say my budget around 2K n' wanna go for a 2nd hand one. Dun need speed speed one just want some nice-looking bikes
(think 125cc should be enuf rite?). And better go for those bikes which dun need much maintainance...
2. What type of license i've to get? How long / how much does it take for a course... where to find that license center...any center in the West near Boonlay?
3. What's the average cost to own a bike? (ie monthly spending on it..including COE, all kinds of taxes, fuel, insurance, maintainance, etc.) (Would appreciate if u can give a detailed estimation of each of the items)

A transport bike might be the one u are looking for rite .... maybe a NSR125 will be just nice for you ... not to forget a TZR ... TZRR ... RXZ ... NSR150 ... TZM150 ... KRR150 ... and alot more
The last three that i have mention is more to sports bike ... but i myself think that all are good bikes ...
My advise buy the bike that u really like and dun care what others said bout that bike ... Get a bike u truely love
For question 2 ... u will need a class 2B which allow to ride up to 200cc bike ... if you are staying in the west ... bukit batok driving centre will be the best choice for you ... u can look up at their website at ... www.bbdc.com.sg ... all the informations is stated clearly in the website ...
As for the last question ... it all depends on yourself ...
Average cost = how much u willing to spend on the bike ...
COE = there is no fix COE ...every month there is a different price (Apply to new bike ONLY) ... for Second hand bike most bike shop will include COE in their selling price
Fuel/Petrol = This depends on how much u ride on road ... meaning the more u ride the bike the more visits you pay to the petrol station
Insurance =This depends on what bike you are getting ... Each bike have a different rate ... and there is also a different rate for those under 21 and above 21
Maintainace = The more you ride the more you need to service your bike ... There are ppls who service their bike every 5000 KM ... there are ppls who service their bike at 10000 KM ... it all up to the RIDER on how they are going to maintain their bike

Yeah, u are rite, I just need bike for transport loh, not to race heh heh ...
From ur suggestions, tink I will go for a TZR....Any TZR owner can point out to me the monthly expenditure? just roughly can enuf coz I need to plan plan otherwise buy one juz to watch no money to ride lah. Im just an average user 1 week go about 60 - 100km (pls give me some figures for each items listed in my 1st post )
And secondly, just saw several TZRs on Yahoo Classified....Prices are so different (some old old ones in mid 80s even much more expensive than the new new ones in mid 90s). So confused lah. What should I look at 1st when I buy a 2nd hand bike? (let say TZR specifically).
And any differences between TZR n TZRR?

tzrr is a much bigger bike like aprilla than tzr, but both haf fairing..
maintainence wise, didnt spend much on it except for servicing.
dun drink so much petrol, full tanki can go 180km(include reserve)
can modified until bery lao lan
cheap also, i got mine for $800 from freenz.. stil had 8
n 1/2 yrs b4 it enter scraping zone
And any differences between TZR n TZRR?

u can some times check out here in this forum...cos some riders are selling their bikes...u can ask ZeCHs abt it....he's sellin his...gOOd luck and ride safely when u've got a bike...

errr...coz saw the requirements for 2B class somewhere "must be able to read clearly at a distance of 25m"....I'm shortsighted 25m is somehow too much lah must wear contact lens otherwise cannot.

Can. But maybe u should not get the bike b4 u get ur licence lor. It will really pressure u quite alot. wear ur specs n go la,
they will test u using a machine, ur suppose to read the stuff inside, they say ur suppose to be able to see, but neber say u cannot wear specs right? -

now market price for TZR in bikeshops about $1.5K to $1.8K. If u find private sellers in the classfieds u can get ascheap as $800 to $1.2K, depending on condition and COE.
Full tank can last more than 200km, i'm not sure the exact as my meter spoilt and i never clock.
Standard maintainance wise, 2 months change engine oil, spark plugs, tighten chian etc cost about $20+ only. If u sway this spoil that spoil then good luck to u, but TZR parts very cheap only, don worry. -

TZR full tank abt $13 lah. If u chiong your lessons about 3-4 months can get licence. Now many new learners, i don think u can get so much lessons per week lor, most 2-3 lessons. Of coz NSR125 is 125cc lah, u already say NSR"125", and its size is abit bigger than SP, but not as powerful as SP.
