motul 300v competition oso impressive. -
there is no best oil that one can use on a bike.
all of these oil companies are reputable, and i think you will be happy with any of them. the important thing is to use the oil with the correct viscosity. -

i agree that motorex is the best... especially on suzuki bikes... tried and tested on mine and everything is very smooth... engine also not that rough...

how u all define rough engine? any1 here got lobang for 4-stroke engine oil? what abt oil treatment? wats it use? -

ask u all ah.. how to change engine oil ah? i noe must turn a knob on the left side of the bike just above the foot rest inside the engine one... but dunno which one leh... any helpers? dun wanna always go motordiam waste money liao... simple simple things can do myself do myself loh...

actually quite troublesome n dirty job leh....u notice the motor tiam pple always prepare a container to allow the old engine oil to flow .....after that they then refil.....new oil...actually quite cheap...to change the oil wat.....that time i change esso gold for bout 20++ plus change so really not much for service charge....Originally posted by -=[ChEeZe]=-:hhmm.... lemmie go out of point abit... hehehe

engine oils dn't give performance but their quality and rate of evaporation that is very important. I would like to recommend Fuch engine oil if u r not budgeting. it's quiet expensive.Originally posted by rossi_fan46:wat engine oil is the best???

2 simple rules
1. choose the correct viscosity (10w-40 maybe)
2. change often - half your manufacturer's oil change interval
clean oil means good oil -

i would rather think that what i'm looking for in a motor oil would be viscosity, cling properties, other protection variables like zinc or phosphorus content, and other goodies like friction modifiers, low smoke low carbon capabilities etc etc yada yada... of course the application of each characteristic of the oils is dependent on what engine we're talking about, or the nature of use (like most 2 stroker riders use 4T instead of gear oil for their transmissions, SO, 4T that contain friction modifiers are not recommended for transmissions that use a common oil for the clutch and gears, which MAY result in clutch slippage)...

ANYWAY! my input relevant to the topic..
i love motul oils... 600 for 2T, and transoil expert for transmission... 300V sport is pretty smooth as well... just that these oils can get expensive...
600 (premix or injector) - $19.50 at motoworld... love it love it love it!
transoil expert - $13.50 at motoworld... er... gotta check up on this... hahaha...
300V sport - $18 at motoworld... i think some workshops carry this oil as well...
