The Traffic Police will be introducing a new photocard driving licence from
16 December 2002.

Lifetime for Singaporeans and PRs; up to 5 years for others
How to apply:
If you current paper licence expires
after 16 Dec 2002, wait for a photocard application form that will be mailed to you about six(6) weeks before your paper licence expires.
If your current paper licence expires
before 16 Dec 2002, you will receive a renewal notice for a paper licence. Renew the paper licence for a year and wait for a photocard application form to be mailed to you.
Where to apply:
Submit completed application form,
in person, along with your NRIC/passport and 1 colour photo, to any
SingPost branch.
How will it be delivered:
Mailed by registered post to address indicated on your application form about two(2) weeks from date of application.
