Is NSR125 a good bike ?

Going to buy a second hand NSR125 bike , but like to know is it a good bike ? high or low maintence ? spare part easy to find a not ? now market price around how much , COE maybe left around 4-5 year ?

i think the maintenance quite high,heard from my friend tat itz part oso a bit hard to find.better dun get tat bike lor.y not SP???

NSR125 corners well, looks good, handles easily. but Power and Speed is the pits. Maintenance wise, i've had a problem free bike for 11 months liao, occasionally the chain gives me some trouble but no problems with the engine at all. i'm thinking of letting it go soon cos upgrading. -
Hmm good to hear that ure bike was problem free... thats good.... Yeah i agree with you... speed isnt everything.... i used to own one before i changed to magma. I am quite hapi with the bike as cornering is gd but mine top speed is 140km/h. Maintaince is cheap as i change my own oil n plug. never been to any major servicing even the pervious owner oso. BUT the spare parts are veri X and hard to find!!!!!! The "shai tao" costed abt $400++ n above to abt $500++ starter abt $600+ for 1st hand n 2nd hand abt $300+ but hard to find. Personally i like that bike in term of look n shape but best get another bike coz not worth in the market. Alot of shop dun "EAT" ur bike if u 12 sell it.

thank for all your infor. i think i not buying NSR125 but i like to know market price for second hand SP around how much ??? many pepople say its a good bike around here , SP and SP-RR is it the same ??? I really lack of bike infor. cuz my frend all didnt ride bike they take bus or walk

Think is because too many chao ah beng riding sp liao, cause many ppl to hate it. But as mention, cannot because of some bad drivers, gd drivers were blamed too.

why i dun like SP ah? hmm... just my views lah
1) bcos the riding posture is not sporty. machiam riding RXK with fairing.
2) bcos a lot of ahbeng riding it. spoil its image --> same as KRR
3) bcos parts cheaper than my NSR125, i very jealous. hee
4) bcos run faster than my NSR125, i even more jealous. hee hee
5) bcos when ppl tok abt buying NSR125, they say "might as well buy SP". KAOZ!
well... thats it. basically its half-distaste and half-sourgrapes.

i sugget you save a bit more and get the sp instead. parts should be much cheaper than the nsr 125.
u can also consider the krr. -
although i ride SP.. but i think if let me choose again when i first get 2B i will get cheap and old bike instead.. coz u will want to upgrade one lah.. think very seldom ppl dun upgrade and ride a 150cc bike all the way.. so buying a rxz NSR125 would be a better choice.. my frend ride NSR125 but going out with our SPs he dun lag behind also.. just my pt of view..

i go out with frens riding SP i dun have much trouble keeping up. its not like they running at 130+ all the time. except for the occasional few siao kia who like to chiong all the way but it doesn bother me. i feel my NSR125 is good enough.
plus the good thing is that i dun have to worry so much abt the big big depreciation i will face when i sell 1st hand bike like SP? some of my frens despite letting ppl COI only oso can't sell liao bcos too much installments left.
anyway there are a lot of good things abt the NSR125 which people seldom talk abt bcos it is too overshadowed by the SP, stuff like the suspension and the ergos and the cooling. FYI my bike temp has never gone past half way mark even after doing 9000rpm at full power. -
