just recieved something in the letterbox todae...
written as follows:
As part of our continuing efforts to improve our services to the public, the Traffic Police will be introducing a new photocard driving license frm 16th December 2002. Below are some details amd description of the new license for your info:
Features: Credit-Card sized; durable; enhanced security features; colour photo
Cost: ONE-OFF payment of $50
validity : lifetime for Singaporeans and PRs ; up to 5 yrs for others
How to apply :
If ur license expires after 16th dec 2002, wait for a photo application form that will be mailed to you abt 6 weeks b4 your license expires.
If your license expires before 16th dec 2002 you will recieve a renewal notice for a license. Renew the license for a year and wait for your photocard application to be mailed to you.
Where to apply : submit form in person along with your IC and 1 colour photo to any Singpost branch.
How will it be delivered : mailed by registered post to adress indicated on your application form abt 2 weeks frm application.

No la. Endosement is free but is a sticker paste to yours lic back.
so when you got all class liao then get new card lor.

I just heard from my friend that those who swey swey just before the date where they going to change to plastic license, can get to extend their paper license until the date. can anybody confirm this?

all i noe is that i just lost my wallet so license also gone... i went to report police and they told me dun need to make another paper license... can wait until new one comes out so can save money... they also say if tp stop me just tell him that i lost license and he'll just check ic and insurance...

for my qurries: as i mentioned b4 tat my 1 expires 4 days b4 new licence start..., but the letter sae they will sent a dun noe wat fark n register for the new one, i tink those after tat 16 dec then will get application, qns: wat if i hue lan n go ther 4 days later?
