[b][b][b]Do Aprilia Bikes gives a lot of problems than the other sports bike?
Do you ride Aprilia before? or you know what is the usual Aprilia Problems....?[/b][/b][/b][b][color=orange][color=red]I just doing a research here on the Italians machines,so that whether or not i want to buy aprilia.... So i want to know what the problems is... from u guys... u guys are more profesionals and experts riders....!!!!

being a ex aprilia rider
i can tell u sincerely , it all depends on luck
once ur down on ur luck, even jap bike, euro bike, race bike, track bike also will give u problem
but i can tell u
italian bikes is not those type of bike which u can wack and forget abt it
it is a bike which require ur attention, servive done on time esp the RAVE power valve
and the parts r ex too, so if ur lookin for a can-wack-n-forget
bike, then i suggest u dun get lol

From my point of view after riding Aprillia RS 125 for almost a yr, i must say that this bike might not be so ideal if you were jus looking for "kah da".Perhaps u could do a search on Aprillia topics to see more mentioned by those members down here.
As for problem it also really depends on your luck...stuffs like wear & tear are unavoidable.. some parts are really costly e.g. the rear suspension, digital battery LCD display..which can costs few hundred bucks for the original ones,sometimes even getting the used parts (scrap) aint cheap either.
Likewise, if u r into the performances type, modification of the exhaust pipe might be a vital...however, a word of advise from my past experience.. under the traffic act chapter 276, rule 106(1) fine for [b][b]modication of exhaust pipe is $500. No joke man..jus imagine with the amount of $, how much things u can do.. not to mentioned a short trip to Batam or Thailand .
If's not for the bulky "milo can",i believed tis RS125 might be ideal for those who like a slightly bigger & stable 2B sportbike.

believed u have gain some ideas on Italian bikes as compared to Japan bikes.there's no rush..jus do a bit of research might help u to get an ideal bike.

in fact, i love my milo kong

and i neber have problems wif Traffic police even when they blow my bike(those at the previous outing wif me at pebby bay will knoe
top end 165-170kmh
looks exactly like the original except for 2 weld marks
the milo kong is onli lukewarm even after riding long distances,
not original one is like volcano, hahahahaah -

i m lookin ard for aprilla too / saw 1 today , 2.9k for the bike /5 yr bike, good price ??
.....tolked to a lot of motor bike shop uncles and mostly i hear is yah , if u want a 'ka dah' bike, aprilla no gd, resale value not great .....bUt ver chio leh,... the shape p~~~~ and much bigger than sp (seems to be the only big sports bike ard for a 2b rider like me)
and pls correct me if i m wrong ; is rs quieter and smoother riding than sp ?? -

Get sp....sp best.....no need scared of spoil....maintenence very low...sp oso nicer than aprilia in looks wad...hehe....u can consider...if u wan get frm me...see my post....sp for sale...

...even better than the aerooooo pipe...onli lukewarm... indeed a fantastic milo gong in disguise 
care to tips off ur wise way of modification...coz i m thinking of a solution to overcome the volcano (u may wish to email me...thanxs in advance..) looks like for the time being i've to stuff milo powder to cool down the exhaust b4 covering my "pua canvas"

Hi there i'm a aprilia rider for 3 years and so far i have no problem wif my bike. If u are getting a second hand aprilia bike, you should overhaul the bike first at a cost of sgd1400. After that no problem.
U should be dicipline enough to change the engine oil 3 mths once and i recommend the Fuch engine oil, secondly the spark plug change it when u change the engine oil, thirdly check your water level in the water reservoir and fourthly from next year aprilia will be using the smaller pipe like the cagiva miti pipe. I have send a message to Aprilia, Italy and they have forwarded my e-mail to pan-european cycle here and they say that the aprilia new model will be using smaller pipe. It is not just talks it is very fact this attachment is the proof. Read it is not a prank.

exhaust
system. I think the current pipe which is the
catalytic converter
which is
the big and heavy one is not suitable for the 125cc.
It is too heavy
and it
is extremely hot. As i'm staying in singapore it is
all year hot. And
alot
of accidents have happened and some causing death on
the road due to
unbalance of the pipe which the bike is heavy at one
side. especially
on
rainy days, it is very slippery. At one time i almost
burnt my
motorcycle
cos' after riding, i cover my bike wif canvas and the
canvas got burn
cause
of the pipe. I have ask the Land transport Authority
about this case
and
they want an approve from Aprilia to have a smaller
and lighter pipe to
be
used on the road. I hope aprilia take this comment

although i am hopeful about the change of the pipe, i personally do not think the chances r high,
ideal motors which was the previous dealer for aprilia also has been fighting for the use of the smaller pipe according to the email corrospondences.
even so, i dun think aprilia is gonna use cagiva pipes, rather they be using their own RS pipe, or unless they come to an agreement or so wif the local authorities
n i think ur wrong, the use of the pipe is actually a requirement by LTA as the oringnal RS pipe sorta like fail the emission standards when the 95' extremas set in, so wad u mean by lta is waiting for aprilia ? or rather i would think aprilia is waiting for lta?
i m not sure where u heard ur info from but i m not saying it is impossible, maybe u could see cagiva pipes on aprilia bikes someday as they r approved in sg -
and er one last thing, overhaul doesnt mean just 1400 only right ?
i got my overhaul for onli 900 bucks, some pple may just have it for 400 bucks, different bike different price coz not all parts got to be replace
and even so, overhaul liao dosent mean no more problems -
i dun say there will be no prob. but it is much more better and from there u can maintain your bike. $1400 is to overhaul by means changing of the gear teeth and the sprocket shaft + hi speed bearing. Aprillia is not a problematic bike if u take care of it. Same like Mito. Its only difference are that, parts are ex. Thats all... for aprillia even if its a milo pipe... without mod....>>> as long as ure Carby setting is right for that pipe... u wont get any problem. Imagine if u take care ure aprillia the way i take care of my bike.... hoo hooooo ure gonna burnt a hole in ure pocket... but say if u get it just for anything except whackin... i believe that bike wont cost u much unless some major defects happened.

That person has been cheated by the shop. I overhaul my 250 for only $1652.21 only. And i overhaul my 125 for $1367.96. maybe he is a new rider and dunno which shop to go and the bloody shop know that he has just pass hiss liscense ketok oready lah....

overhaul got no fixed prices, pls get this clear -
