Gear Oil

  hi guys, i know diff bikes got diff capacity of gear oil/engine oil to put, wat happens if put in too litle or too much??
  
  while chatting with my mech, i heard he say if put too much, 'bike no strength'.........
  now wats the actual problems if put too little or too much? anyone knows??

  its better to put over the limit than too little cos over the limit can still drain it off. too little harmful for the gears cos not enuf lubrication

  but u put too much...bike not gd to ride...pick up oso affected...like got something "restricting" the bike from moving like that...think coz too much engine oil will increase the amt of friction the gears have to overcome resulting in such symthoms...my guess n intiution...i may be wrong though

  actually i dun think u can over top up ure engine oil cos if over, the oil will spill out from the top up hole....the right amount is when the level flushes with the top up hole. correct me if i'm wrong....

  Too much oil will only cause pressure therefore some power is used to overcome this pressure.... not friction. There will be too much friction only when u dont have enough oil.
