Is it possible to do a transfer of ownership to a person who has yet to get his license?
hokkie
LTA's regulation is like this, to transfer ownership the new owner must have:
1. Valid insurace coverage
SO just get the new guy to go and buy new insurance from motordiam......remember to insist on ANY RIDER.( means that any one with valid insurance can ride the bike)
THis way the bike is under the new guy's ownership, and the bike can be ridden by anyone who has a valid insurance....
If the new rider decide to ride without license is his own problem....

But can we buy insurance w/o licence?
TZR
Yes, ur friend can be the main owner of the bike, but he cannot ride.
For the insurance also can have his name, but it will state that he is the non-riding policy holder.
He can either put u as the 2nd owner and u ride only, or pay a little more $$ to make it "Any rider" policy, so whoever has licence can ride the bike.
