WAS PILLIONLING MY FRIEND THIS MORNING ALONG SUNSET WAY...SUDDENDLY THE LIGHT TURNED AMBER....N KNOWIN THAT IS A RED LIGHT CAMERA I JAMMED MY BRAKES....AND MY TYRES SKI...AND I STOP AT THE VERY FRONT.....DON'T KNOW IF THE CAMERA HAVE CAPTURE ME......JUST WAN TO ASK ALL RIDERS OUT THERE...IF I'VE BEEN CAPTURED WAT R THE PENATIES I'VE TO FACE? AND HOW LONG WIL I HAV TO WAIT B4 THE LETTER IS SENT TO ME?? WAT R THE POSSIBILITIES THAT THE CAMERA DID NOT CAPTURED ME???? PLS ADVISE.....THANKS,............

you can appeal... but u must have a very good reason why you beat the red light ... you can either sent it your appeal by yourself or u can get your district minister to write in a letter for you ...
You can find your district minister at the 'Meet the Ppls session' that is held every week ...

who say got 4 seconds allowance?
once the light turn red the camera activate liao. means u cross the line at de same time it turn red will oso tio.
the camera will take 2 pics lah i heard. dats y got 2 flash. first flash will take once u cross the line, 2nd flash half second later to see whether did u stop or just continue on.
heard from my previous owner a horror story abt one TP spokesman that went to his secondary school last time to teach roadsafety. it was there that he learnt abt this 2 flashes thing. the TP showed the first pic was a bike carry pillion just cross the stop line at traffic light, the second pic taken half second later by the camera showed a car had smashed into the bike at high speed and the pillion was oredi in mid air abt 3 metres off the ground. both the rider and his pillion died in that accident.

Bro, you wouldn't get a second shot if you stop right at the front. There are two shots taken by the camera, one will be in the junction itself. If you did stop, you're fine (pun not intended, meaning you'll be ok.)

anyway moat red light camaras r fake 1 lor,they just put there to scare pple,beat so mant times but not yet kana ant letters yet leh??i heared also e camara is based on weight sensors on e floor then usually cannot detact bikes cos they r too light so mostly cars & bigger vehicles kana lor!!!

actually i tink there 'shloud' b some allowance for those who cant zham brake in times
but most importantly slow down when approaching traffic and look out for flashers if u tink u beat a camera, nothing proves better than what u saw

in the case of your fren hor... most likely is bcos the bike too light and the sensor cannot detect, even with pillion oso much lighter than a car. just like sometimes u ride with pillion stop at a traffic light controlled by road sensors, u wait there forever oso the light wun turn green bcos our bikes too light liao. must get off to press the pedestrian crossing button. -
