You can adjust the 2T level by turning a knob thingy at the 2T pump ( like tightening a clutch at the level there) it is at the end of the throttle cable , got 2 end , one goes to the crab and the others goes to the 2T pump. works for me...
Ah Bear is going to get veri busy , coz now NDP comming heheheheehe Lim Ah Bear am i correct?
try the spark plugs first the the carb tunings, which ever is available loh, best to try another bikeshop too.maybe your shop not good at tuning auto bikes loh.Originally posted by Jaws:well, me riding hexagon....every morning and after work start bike quite difficult. i dunno wats wrong....even after servicing oso same prob. is it becuz of spark plug prob or 2T prob?
it means the bike response better to your trottle loh.ppl always say it as kin kui lah.Originally posted by WhitePhantom:actually me dunno that my bike is running lean eh
however i do notice that my phantom150 does consume less petrol than other phantom150s. Most ppl's ones can only last til about 200km b4 turning reserve, mine can tahan until 230++km.
But running abit leaner gd anot??
n oso, wat do u mean by 'great tuning for great throttle response'? mi quite blur bout tis??
as 4 the plug. me using a cold plug (DIP), oredi knew b4hand that cold plugs do not contribute to a easy startup but gd for full throttle n harsh riding conditions. hence, i tink gonna change to the cheapest one( hot plug ) next time round. Cos i wanna see the differences myself so next time i wil know wat i want....

the spark plug new one leh.....u mean carb tuning will make my bike start easier meh? if really den i go try lor.Originally posted by LCBear:try the spark plugs first the the carb tunings, which ever is available loh, best to try another bikeshop too.maybe your shop not good at tuning auto bikes loh.
got the problem liao the screw contact seems to be the problem then turn here and there ok liao but after a while the chicken squeak again haha....think have to visit ah bike tiam liao keke. thanx LC Bear for ur advice.Originally posted by LCBear:just let it dry itself loh.cannot the try the batt see how.![]()

Too much 2T can also be 1 of the reasons that cause ur bike to be difficult to start. And also because of the high ratio of 2T, ur engine will die easily when just start(cold) without warm up. But the white smoke should get lesser when ur engine warms up.Originally posted by Noah:Hi Bear ....
got some questions ... me also experiencing some start up problems .... I must use choke to start up even on hot days. If I dun use choke, cannot start. And also start liao must warm up beforemoving else is really will die engine. Is this the same symptom for what you posted previously on fuel coaggulating on the chamber walls ? I know my 2T very big ... most mornings start up got a lot of white smoke .... How do I adjust the 2T pump ? My bike KRR ...
You mentioned about good throttle response ... how do you adjust for better throttle response ?
Thanks !
It's prefectly normal for a bike to require choke to start up in the morning. And it's always best to warm up the bike to let the engine oil lubricate all those moving components of the engine.Originally posted by Noah:Hi Bear ....

Actually, you chain should not be very tight ... there should be some slack. I can't tell you how much slack as I dun have the figure on hand, so let the experts tell you that.Originally posted by singtel88:Hi,bear...
i got something to ask... y after i tighter the chain.. not long the chain turn unit very tigh.. what happen?? i did see the motor shop guy give the chain free play... what really happen?? is it chain wear and tear or what happen??
thanks in advance
Hi, I understand what u mean my chain is quite slack so i plan to go tightening the chain... i also understand about the free play.... now is after i tightening the chain the chain, i pillon my gf.. after i short ride the chain turn out very tight.. and even my bike put on side stand the chain still very tight... today i go losese the chain... but not long still same y?? what really happen???Originally posted by Noah:Actually, you chain should not be very tight ... there should be some slack. I can tell you why though ... actually, when the bike is not loaded (not carrying any weight), the chain has some slack. But when you sit on your bike, you compress the suspension and the swing arm actually moves about it's pivot, as a result, tightening the chain.
Furthermore, I think there is a chain tensioner in your gearbox or something. When you kick in your gear from Neutral, the tensioner will tension your chain making it even tighter. So you can imagine what happens if your chain is already very tight when not carrying any load; you'll stress the chain even further when you sit on your bike. And imagine what happens when you cross a hump heavily .... Your chain might break.
The chain cannot be too tight, neither must it be too slack. When the chain is too slack, it probably jump some teeth on the sprockets, and wear out both chain and sprockets prematurely. Worse, the chain may even come away from the sproket and imagine what's going to happen after that ... think the chain will jam in the gearbox and ... you know lah ....
That much said, you must realise however that over time, chains that were at correct tension will eventually gain more and more free play ... this is normal wear and tear. This is why you should tension your chain properly on a regular basis.
