i'm still taking my lessons. but trying to look for a bike now.
"problem bike"? in what sense? you ride before? you own/owned one and experienced the problems yourself?Originally posted by TaNkEE:Mito is a nice bike but sad to say it's a problem bike!
gotta think twice in getting it.
the mito's restriction lies only in the exhaust headers. there's a spacer in the header that restricts the air-flow. that's the only restriction. it is not CDI restricted. do you know that arrow performance pipes designed and manufactures the exhaust pipe of the mito for cagiva? wah i think your krr got R1 engine inside sial...Originally posted by extr0vert:Style wise its nice..... big for a 2b bike....
wanted to buy it at first... but then ex... to maintain ex as while
speed wise, kana control liao.... cannot make it already
unless u go mod it lah.....
once i was ridding my krr, pillion my friend....
this malay mito rider was in front of me at the traffic light with his ktm friend.....
green light liao both chiong liao... then keep turning and look at me
triggered my anger... so i picked up my speed.....
zoomed past the both of them..... look at my mirror.... the mito was trying to catch up... but couldnt make it....
and he was riding alone.....
so.... if i considering getting a mito.... see wat u want in your bike...
THUMPS UP FOR YOU>Originally posted by l3stat:eh... if anyone has taken offence at my posts regarding italian bikes, JUST TOO BAD!totally sick of hearing "aprilia? cagiva? OH... PROBLEM bike LAH!"
have these people actually owned or are owning these bikes? or are they regurgitating what their friends tell them, friends in the same situation? or are they hearing from friends who 1. do not know how to take care and maintain their bikes, or 2. don't know how to choose bike, or plain suay that they got a bike that's been abused and neglected by the previous owners.
are these people saying that a SP, KRR, TZM, whatever you name it, will be PROBLEM-FREE even if you don't service it forever? care to put your name down for a warranty? i'll buy one if you dare to.
pls... think about what you hear before you pass it on to someone else... i praise the mito even though i don't ride one. i just like the bike a lot, rode one before as well. read my previous posts, i have reasons to do so.
myth number two: "HIGH MAINTENANCE LAH!" oh yesh i suppose they think when it's time for the 5000km servicing, an overhaul is done? "maintenance" for an italian bike includes carb cleaning, air filter change/wash, valve cleaning, transmission oil change. how is that different from your japanese bike? jap bike don't need to service at all? how are italian bikes "high maintenance"? oh yesh use the best 2T, if you're going to say that using a fully-synthetic 2T for maximum protection, that costs perhaps $5 to $10 more than the 2T you're using is HIGH MAINTENANCE, i think you're too cheap to ride a bike.
admittedly parts for italian bikes are expensive. other than the fact that some parts are performance parts, a lot of this relies on again many other factors pertaining to economics, production methods, macroeconomic policies etc. yes parts are more expensive, so are these guys saying that their jap bikes will never break down? or do they get to buy their parts for free?
for your info, i've a friend who services his mito at 5,000km intervals. problems? none. he ran 20,000km on his bike before he upgraded.
enough said.. if you take offence at my post, YOUR PROBLEM. for your own sake, think about what people tell you before you believe it like gospel.for your own damn good. but it's a good thing that many people feel this way. that's the reason why i can ride what i feel is an excellently designed and manufactured motorcycle, more cheaply than my counterparts who don't get what i do. my thanks go out to you...
of course, ppl mito lover u knowOriginally posted by HoN:wow.....u noe so much abt mito.....i also not veri sure......kekeke![]()
i think the problem with the italians is that they are too damn stylish... a japanese bike can never come close to the sleek lines and sweet bodywork...Originally posted by l3stat:eh... if anyone has taken offence at my posts regarding italian bikes, JUST TOO BAD!totally sick of hearing "aprilia? cagiva?
