eh it's the priciest among the 2A streetfighters... parts are pricey too... the thing i don't like about the bike is that only the 2002 model comes with a tacho.. but according to a review rider, the engine pulls very well along the whole powerband. nice relaxed riding with an attitude i'll say.. the trellis frame really looks cool. servicing-wise, it's carburetted, so it shouldn't be that bad compared to the other streetfighters. i'm not sure if the monster 400 has a dry clutch, the larger track ducatis do... but one point to note is that it uses dual desmodromic valves per cylinder.. so.. when you set your clearances for every 10,000km, you're gonna need a guy with the proper knowledge and specialized tools for the job. happen to know of one, but his business good until he no time to service my bike..

anyway it's really up to your friend lor.. practicality, or that something extra... if i can afford one, at the expense of making my pocket tighter than if i bought let's say a bandit, i'll still go for a monster anyday.. it's an undescribable feeling when you plant yourself on the seat of an italian bike...
