A cheap bottle may cost less than $5 but an ex 1 cost more than $15. What is the difference? Less smoke?

i've been using TTS... but after a while, changed to motul 600... just feel an improvement.. less smoke... motul 600 doesn't give a dry, sticking carbon deposit like TTS, which may get stuck in the valve and block... for motul, it forms a more liquid like black sludge, which you can remove with some hard riding.. well at least most of it...
just my opinions on these 2 types.. haven't tried any other 2Ts yet...

Well there are no cheap prices for good oil grade.... if u think u dun need such good oil... then go for an avg one lor... eg... Duckham QTT/ Castrol TTS or Motul 600... if u think u wanna have something more superior get a Motul 800 or if you wan something that is as good as Motul 800 but need more protection for ure piston and engine block... get a Castrol A747.... if you think all the above are too expensive .... then just get any of the normal 2T which u can grab at any kiosk lor...

Well, cheap one are most often mineral oils which have wide changes in viscosity at different temp. fully syntetic one have a more constant viscosity which mean the oil's viscosity will change alittle bit during different temp, and y A747 is good and ex. is becos its mix with full syntetic with castor oil. By the way just in case u dunno... viscosity is actually the "thickness of the oil" in laymen terms. Back to A747... yeah.. Castor Oil have only one good point, it is more attracted to "hot spots" or Hot area faster then the rest of the oil thus providing more of a little more coolin to the engine block and the piston... preventin the piston of over expanding too fast which may lead to a common four side piston jammed. And the last important point y many pple used A747 is becos of its distinctive smells.

My friend riding a phantom150 said.
"I tried Castrol TTS first when I got my bike, then I changed to ESSO Gold for a change, then found that ESSO Gold was much better, more smoother. Then after you(me) recommended MOTUL600, I realised that MOTUL600 has a lot of difference, much more better. More smoother, more power less smoke."
But I recommend MOTUL600 for a normal road use. and MOTUL800 for track use where you open and close your throttle very frequently. -
Heheheh like i say.... quality cost.... if u wanna save on 2T then u got to spent more on piston and block servicin lor....In my heart still A747 the best... its only rangin from $34 to $38 nia mah... though its only for premix... i can still used it for road usage... 50:1 ratio premix... in the end still cost me abit more nia... but i dun mind as long my 2 stroke gets the best protection out of it
