2T oil vs Engine oil

  what's the diff b/w them?
  am riding a phantom 150. every few thousand km need to change the engine oil and the 2T oil. any recommendations? do i use the same type of oil for them?

  actually 2T is for 2 stroke piston then 4T is for 4stroke engine oil and pistons... for me i'm using gearbox oil for my 2 stroke... but u still u can used 4T for ure engine oil since it becomes a norm thing in singapore.

  Mi using Repsol 2T n 4T
  repsol 2T is cheap n gd
  the 4t is quite long lasting, can last me more than 3000km oredi

  I think is mainly the thickness of the oil lor. A thicker oil can protect ur engine or gear better, but as it is heavier, more power is lost. That is y ppl use very liquid oil for racing, but this type of oil dont last at all lor. Not so suitable for normal user. Unless u very rich and free.
  
  2-stroke uses:
  2T--> to lubricate the engine
  Gear oil --> for the gear la (but some ppl call it as engine oil... which cause confusion)
  
  4-stroke uses:
  4T-->for the engine oil (to lubricate the engine)
  Gear oil--> for the gear
  
  4T is actually for 4-stroke bike to use as engine oil, but some ppl use it as gear oil also. Coz it is more liquid, lighter compare to normal gear oil.

  a 4-stroke engine has "engine oil" (4T) located in the crankcase, where it lubricates the pistons as well.. this dedicated form of lubrication is sufficient for the engine, as opposed to a 2 stroker, where the crankcase is empty. lubrication is provided by the 2T mixed with the fuel... the "engine oil"/4T for a 2 stroker lies in the gearbox only...

  4T are used to lubricate pistons and gears for a four stroke bike... thats y a filter for the oil is needed. and for 2 stroke... lubrication for piston and engine gearbox are separated... thats where manufacturer have their own gear oil for 2 stroke.

  so 2strokers need to change gearbox oil and top up 2T oil and 4strokers need to change 4T oil only.rite?
  do gearbox oil has different grades? like fully syn or semi syn?
