bhp for race bikes is all so important.. lots of money involved to squeeze out bhp... so HORSEPOWER is really something..
anyway i think a current 01 02 model 600cc will be good for anyone who is thinking of getting a 250 just for track use... 250s are a thing of the past... history... good for enthusiasts perhaps... but too expansive to really invest in.. and the returns is really not impressive anymore.
with the money that will go into making a nsr250 really fast... that same amount of money could make a 600 or even a 1k run much faster on the road and in the track...
MSC peter tan is racing a gsxr1000 and getting 1:39 at pg... so who says a 250 is the most suitable? there was once this myth that the 250 rulez pg... well i think its no more so... the bigger bikes are able to run well in technical tracks now adays...
so for the long run... ditch the 250 racer and get a big bike and start shooting for the faster times

so again i might buy a 4 stroker in the long run but in the meantime i still like my 2 stoke bike
reason? coz there tis sound u'll never find in a 4 stroke bike and the agility u can find in a 250's is something u might not find in the bigger faster bikes

No wonder you are misleading everyone with all your so call "heard from friend" theory. There is NO way a 2B bike is going to win a 2A bike. Many people onli know tat pgm4 got powercut and infact i clock a pgm4 (my friend) side by side going 210km with a ORGINAL Card. just because both are of the same cc... doesnt mean that the pgm4 and the rs250 is in the same league...
a real world pgm4 is only comparible to a kr150 i believe.. except that its kinda more glam with the dry clutch..
and if the kr is well built (and it doesnt cost nearly as much to do so as modifying the pgm4) i believe the kr will be able to take on the pgm4 from stationary all the way to top!i dont ride a kr... but i have seen some and heard some and to tell u the truth i think that particular kr can take a cbr929 for 0-60kmh
anyway the pgm4 is really an old bike.. and old technology... totally for enthusiasts.. unless u can get hold of the honda rs version.. i think its still a wiser idea to get a four stroke 400cc to prepare for the bigger class 4 strokers...
pgm4 is really cool, rs250 is really fast, but after a year, u will think the pgm4 is starting to look old and bulky and the rs250 will feel slaggy and no power... then thats when u start looking for greener pastures like the 1000cc class or 600cc class...
a highly mod rs250 has 70bhp? and to get more out of it u gotta spend big money
the pgm4 has 50+ bhp? and to get more u gotta sell your house, make ur galfren work as a karaoke gal and maybe weekdays u urself work at desker road... if u get what i mean...
whereas why not just get a gsxr600 or r6 or f4i and u instantly get 90bhp stock!
and if u are hungry for more... go get the bigger stuff like gsxr1000 or r1 or 954 and u get 135bhp... 144bhp for the gixxer1000so the point is.. if the year was 1994 the pgm4 or the rs250 would kick ass... but its 2002 a good 8 years already, and the kr150 should be able to kick the asses of the 250s if u spend just a bit of money
for me i just slept thru my class 2a phase and waited for class2 then got my weapon of choice... saved lots of money in the process.. think about it!
