i wan to change new hard disk for my pc leh..... a hard disk with more spaces than my current one.... i wanna add ram oso.....
how can i transfer all my currect disk data to the new disk??? who n where got lobang to change cheap ah???

honghong...go sim lim square,there is a lot of hardware shop that do upgrading for u..try to survey a few shop before asking them to do it.hardisk quite cheap around $100 can get 60 gb of hardisk.i think transfer data from old to new using norton ghost and there is a lot of way.go sim lim square to look around.

norton ghost is a disk cloning software, juz attach the new hdd to a new ide slot on cable and make sure jumper setting is correct, use a bootup disk with ghost.exe in side, boot up thru A: den run ghost, den run disk to disk clone, simple....alternatively if ur old hdd is still functioning well, juz attach the new hdd, boot up normally and copy data over, even easier, got GUI...

for comp to notebook, use a cross cable, den set same ip address range, e.g if ur comp is 172.16.0.1 den ur notebook should be 172.16.0.2...or others as long as its not .1, den share the folders where u wanna transfer ur data and type \\172.16.0.1 and copy over loh...

If it's PC i can help u do(yes ill do it for free).Anyway u can have dual hard drives like i'm using a 20GB and a 40 GB hard drive.For laptop only can add ram nia.Lap tops arent good on upgrading

Copy over frm pc?no need wad....unless u wan to throw ur old HDD away.then again u can drag and drop...that works too hehe.Laptop better ask the guy cuz i'm not good with those hehe -
