That's why ive said,Need professional in this and furthermore TTS & GAS is leasing buses from LTA and there is protocol and regulations to be followed.Even GAS maintained most of their fleets well..They even scrub and wash all the brake dust off their bus rims every week..

Yeah,Numerous time send to workshop..
I don't like the B1 B9TL because of the wing mirrors which cannot auto adjust,The deceiving two-piece mirror!

But again, Dennis buses are made to overcome various terrains so if they dont make the bus more sturdy than the rest obv the bus will wear and tear faster..
SBS9676S should be more or less gone case in HGDEP already based on someone posted in the other thread.
For sure SLBP will be 100% WAB fleet by this year end, HGDEP will be next once all the Tridents are taken out from revenue service.

Likelihood that HGDEP may not keep this solo VO3X till this Dec, once 9652 and 9658 goes off this month end.

1056R 1061A 1062Y 1070Z 1118X more or less gone..

It's universally true yknow, the tridents in London and HK didn't age well too
In fact the tridents in CTB pulled out earlier than the VOs..
Dennis buses are great machines with performance that no other bus maker, besides MAN and Neoplan, can even come close to. Volvo buses stand in shame next to them, esp comparing VSO with tridents.
However, when playing the game of time, Dennis buses will find it hard to win.

GAS does their maintenance damn well lor.. just look at their B9s. What were roaring and jerking buses under the bloody SBST became tamed angels under GAS.
Case in point. When GAS took in the 33xx series they were so bloody TORN. Now it feels like the equivalent of SBST buses which has just reached a year old (The oldest of the 33xx are already 5 years old)
The first batch of B9TLs bsep 33xx ones undergo thru 3 operators in the progress
SBST > TTS > GAS.
I guess there is going to be mass spams of lay ups of Habits in the next few months for the December batches onwards...
as can be seen, the Euro VI emission standard comes into effect on 1st Jan 2018, so all the remaining Euro V DDs have to be registered by the end of 2017 (some may be laid up first depending on whether bodywork had been completed on chassis itself)

going by the current trend, they will wait till December ... you already say need to be register by end of Dec 2017, so the december batches wont be affected much..
around 100 A95 plus 59 units of B9TL and maybe 30-40 units of Citaros to be registered..
around 60 habits plus 50 MK IV plus 3 VO3x to be deregistered by end 2017.
plus LTA will allocate around 60-70 buses to SBST for seletar package..
plus some units for the balance 4 new BSEP services.... so the figure is just nice...
De-registeration started for TIB1071X-TIB1073R, TIB1075K, TIB1076H
TIB1118X
(KJDEP 188) (non user lay up status till end of life span)
TIB1124C
(KJDEP 184) (non user lay up status till end of life span)
Buses had been officially laid up with effect from yesterday 29th August 2017.

4 months left to deregistration...but I would not be surprised since I anticipated mass spams of lay ups soon.

1118 flagged for high fuel consumption

That's why bendies need high torque engine and SMRT is smart on choosing the 360hp/1800nm version

Heard that this bus caught fire in the engine during its early days when it permed 188 with Auntie Bee Choo being the perm BC (year 2007 or 2008?), and the replacement engine was a smaller version with less power meant for SDs.. thereafter condition was not good since then...
