amendment to 18,20,118,293
info from LTA FB
137 is a new bus service from Sims Place to Upper East Coast.
298 is a new bus service from Tampines Concourse to Tampines Street 86.
Leave 18 alone and don't touch it together with 293. Why can't you just amend service 46 to go to Tampines Central 1, Tampines Avenue 4, Tampines Avenue 7, Tampines Street 42, Tampines Street 44, Tampines Street 45, Tampines Street 34, Tampines Street 33, Tampines Street 32, Tampines Avenue 2 and Tampines Avenue 7, thus reducing 1 more service in Tampines.
I predict buses will have a hard time filtering to the right to Ave 7
i think 137 is going to be a big hit
Surprised they touched 18 instead of 4/19/37/81; not only is the route longer but there's significant duplication to 28. Perhaps modifying 38 may have been a better move?
118's amendment seems bad, there's considerable demand along CS Ave 2 (for both 47 and 118).
Both 137 and 298 are interesting. 20 is well expected.
No changes to 46 with the modifications of 18 & 293, can keep and probably extend to Pasir Ris in the future.

Big Jams at Ubi and Kaki Bukit too..
Like that can amend 129 to Tampines Central Int and let 292 terminate at Concourse instead.

Hi mr AJQZC, of course cannot touch 4 and 9 and 37 because they are specialized and dedicated routes. 81 is because it is super long distance in view of the loop. 18 is a better candidate. Cheers. Thanks.
New service 137 should be popular, linking multi towns. Bedok North, Bedok Central, Bedok South.
Quite surprisingly is 298, which starts frm tamp conc, when i expected it to start frm tamp itself since it is a feeder
and coincidentally 137 is vry similar to BusAnalyzer's suggestion
137 that can have double dack than 63m LTA CAN'T PROVIDE THE FEEDBACK on lta can't provide the bus service

How you know?

Yes,more like industrial service...Weekdays sure a big hit.
Most probably 9 DD and 4 SD for a start.
So 18 & 293 will serve the stops outside TP MRT? Niceeeee

It sure will. It is exactly the same route I had proposed (except for the Bedok North Ave 3 - UEC part). But its a good one.
Connects UEC Road to Bedok MRT (no connection today except for winding 14)
Connects Bedok North st 3 to Bedok North MRT
Connects Bedok North / UBi / Macpherson to Kaki Bukit Estate.
All in all very good route and should do well with a DD fleet.

Yes I am pretty happy about that except the Bedok North Ave 3 -> UEC side as I had recommended it go to CBP. But nevertheless it is still good as it connects Bedok MRT to UEC road that does not have a direct link apart from the winding svc 14.

18 is a good choice as the service was under-utilized anyway. this will give it a boost. 4/19/37 cannot be touched. Already heavy loading. 38 is debatable as it will connect it to Simei but with 18 it connects it to Tampines West like svc 28 (which is already overcrowded).
I am surprised with 118 amendment as well. There is need for another service in CBP and I am surprised LTA does not want to introduce new service even when all 20, 47 and 118 are super hit in the CBP area.

298 route is good though now you have 291, 293 and 298 all doing Tampines Ave 3 (a bit of an overkill).
modification of 293 is a bit surprising as it takes out the ONLY service from Tampines St 42/43/44. This means the bus stop will need to be removed. A bit adventurous compared to LTA style. Having said that good for st 45 who will get svc 293 in both directions now.

I wonder how 137 will survive the jam at Ubi/Kaki Bukit area
Well... it should be okay... There are huge jams at the entrance of Jurong East and Boon Lay but the services do survive okay.
137 provides new connection to Kaki Bukit Estate, something which was long over-due.

Should be full fleet DD on weekdays.

Last proposal for DTL3 connector - svc 44
Eunos Interchange --> Sims Ave East --> Chai Chee Dr --> Chai Chee St --> Bedok North Road (BDK North MRT)--> Bedok Reservoir Road --> Bedok North Ave 3 (BDR MRT)--> Bedok North Road --> Bedok North Ave 4 --> Simei Ave --> Xilin Ave --> Changi South Ave 1 (Expo MRT) --> Changi Business Park --> CBP Terminal.
* Connects Chai Chee Estate to Bedok North MRT (no connection today) and Eunos (svc 26 duplication)
* Connects Bedok Reservoir to Bedok North MRT (no connection today, people have to back track to Bedok Reservoir)
* Connects Bedok North Ave 4 and Simei Ave to Bedok Reservoir MRT (no connection today). Can replace 17A as people will get split between svc 17 and 44
* Connects CBP to Bedok North Estate. Many office goers in CBP live around condos in Bedok Reservoir.

This should go under suggestions / DTL rationalisation thread...
I was considering 506 for a link to CBP seeing that it would be better utilized due to the service's greater outreach and can be a cheaper alternative for some of the premiums (e.g. transfers at TPY), but this one can help out too.
Consider merging with 76?
