The integrated development at Buangkok has been announced. There will be a bus interchange attached to the development along with residential and commercial units in the field next to Buangkok MRT.
Suspect Buangkok interchange will be ready by 2020.

Hi mr busanalyser, found the parliamentary reply. Just some sayings with future plans to be revealed later. This means still have to wait for quite a long time. There is no finalized plans yet. If need to build condo on top of mall and interchange, yr 2020 may not be enough. At least yr 2022. When Punggol central initial plan was announced in yr 2009, it took until yr 2016 for waterway point to be up. Moreover the Watertown condo on top is still not yet ready. Initial plans for condo to be up is end yr 2017.
Buangkok integrated development first surfaced into the news in yr 2013. Now is already yr 2016 with the same sort of news released again. This goes to show nothing concrete is happening yet for the past 3 years. News release still the same old thing stating future plans to be revealed at a later stage. Cheers. Thanks.

They might speed up Buangkok ITH in case the Sengkang interchange expansion runs into issues. They may close down the temp expansion once Buangkok ITH is up.
Otherwise right now there is not really need for Buangkok interchange given that there will be Bidadari, HG extension, Sengkang extension and Punggol extension. In that case, Buangkok ITH can wait for few more years.

Hi mr busanalyser, the Sengkang expansion is permanent. Not temp. Sengkang current interchange only has 16 lots which is insufficient. The expansion will give it additional 12 lots. These are meant for BSEP coming up. This expansion and buangkok ITH are two different issues.
The buangkok ITH is to be built with residential and commercial sites. With many more flats coming up, buangkok is expected to be self-sufficient without relying on Sengkang interchange. However all these are still far fetched. Expect lots of population boom around the area in Yr 2022 onwards. Cheers. Thanks.

No way. How can 16 lots be enough?
Buangkok ITH should be about the same size as Clementi (25-30 lots), since it is so near to Hougang and Sengkang interchanges.

Hi mr TPS Timothy Mok, can you please forget about NEL bus rationalization? It is already more than 14 years ago. Don't tell me you will cry wolf again when they are going to activate DTL bus rationalization! The actual reason should be due to the huge number of BTOs in the new estates in northeast area.
