My objective is to help SGforums get back on track.
I notice that several threads had went off-topic last week, such as the thread on loading.
Prior to this post, I have been contributing quality content, with the aim of helping everyone move forward. Meanwhile, what have some of you been contributing - besides gossips?
Bus spotting is an art. Although it requires time and commitment, the results are rewarding.
Let us put aside the things that do not matter, and focus on what we really want.
Thank you and have a nice day. :)
Regarding Sengkang Bus Interchange and bus service 83, actually, considering only a few people board (~7) and alight (~3) bus 83 at Sengkang Int, we can make bus 83 loop outside compass point, by letting it call at the bus stop outside Sengkang MRT Station exit D (#67409).
It probably won't make much difference, since bus 83 does not use the parking bays at Sengkang Bus Interchange anyway, but if there is traffic congestion problem in Sengkang Int, it would help to relieve the traffic.

Hi mr lentor1974, the crowds will come back to board sbs 83 at sengkang interchange when compass one mall is up. It used to have high ridership at sengkang interchange. There is no need to call at exit D. The main issue is the mall.
By the way, if you are not sure about the bus service number, please don't type. It is 83, not 38. This really makes people think otherwise. Cheers. Thanks.

However, I also notice people have been ignoring me. This is why I created this account and the combabao account, because I know it would not work if I had used my own account.

Hi mr lentor1974, I don't think so. One look at it and I know combabao and lentor1974 are actually mr gekpohboy. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi Mr dupdup77, last time Punggol people only have Punggol Plaza and Compass Point near their house, of which Compass Point had more variety, that's why bus 83 had high ridership at Sengkang Int. But now Punggol got its own shopping centre, called "Waterway Point", which is a major shopping centre like Compass Point. I don't think the crowd from Punggol will return to Compass Point when it re-opens, likewise for bus 83's high ridership at Sengkang Int. Nonetheless, there are people at Sengkang who actually take bus 83 to Punggol, so this issue is actually quite minor. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi Mr SBS3004X, the route of bus 83 is in the shape of the alphabet "S" flipped horizontally. How is it possible to make it bi-directional? Cheers. Thanks.

by terminating somewhere else
I mean:

No loop.

Hi mr gekpohboy, wait till compass one is open. Don't say too early. We don't need all the people to go back to compass one. We just need a small section of the crowd. That is enough.
By the way, if you still don't know by now, the new soon to be opened mall is called compass one. It is no longer called compass point. Cheers. Thanks.

No need to terminate at Sengkang,Why waste space for a short trunk when Sengkang isnt that big either?Utilise that extra space wisely. The one need termination point is svc like 36,62 & 518..

If want make 83 terminate at Sengkang, I suggest extending the route in Sengkang so got more people take bus 83. Because currently the route between Punggol and Sengkang is only around 6.7 km, and the loading at Sengkang side is quite low; not wise to terminate at Sengkang.

So what I think is: 75, 176, 180, 184, 700/700A, 920, 922, 970, 972, 975, 979/979M, 983.
So it's confirmed to be 12 services? Absolutely no chance for a split of 171/178/960 to terminate, or any new service to Sungei Kadut / Upp Thomson / NE?

I think only 10 service will terminate there with 180 looping from Boon Lay.20 lots is so less with 12 svc..Be prepared to see svc 700 to reroute or withdrawn.

3 Sawtooth Berth... 1 Alighting Berth
20 Parking Bay...
My opinion of the services that might use the interchange would be:
75, 176, 184, 700/700A, 920, 922, 970, 971E, 972, 975, 979/979M
177 is with Tower Transit so become loop...
180 will also loop around the interchange...
983 will loop as it is so short route and terminate at CCK...

10/11 existing services + 1/2 future services?
Heard that Hougang Depot will take back Eunos Interchange including service 93 once GA takes over Punggol.Bedok North Depot will partial control service 16,48 and 59.
Long time never see Tridents at Boon Lay Int(154).
