Passed by the construction site for Sengkang Expansion, bollards are already erected with concrete flooring, there is an opening where services like 163 make the last left turn before entering int, the entrance/exit should be there from my judgement, seeing how they curved the flooring after that.

Hope Punggol extension work also starts soon. There is a field right in front of interchange - easy fix.
Sengkang Bus Interchange
There are sixteen parking bays, three alighting bays, four sawtooth boarding berths.
Currently, the four sawtooth boarding berths can accomodate at least twelve bus services, yet the sixteen parking bays can only accomodate eight bus services.
The air-con replacement will be completed progressively by third quarter this year. I hope they can also take this opporunity to make the place brighter, by installing lamps with higher lux, painting the walls with white or some bright colours, etcetera.
Sengkang Bus Interchange expansion
Construction started around October last year. It will be constructed by the third quater of this year.
Looking at the location, I feel that it is quite a walk from Sengkang MRT Station. Have to cross a bridge then can reach.
As we all know, there will be twelve parking bays at the bus interchange expansion. With the expansion, there will be a total of twenty eight parking bays; there should be space for around fourteen bus services.
I feel that we can actually fit around fourteen bus services at the four existing boarding berths. Two of the berths can have four bus services, while two berth can have three bus services. If like that, then the people do not have to walk long distances and climb the bridge to go over to the bus interchange expansion.
The parking bays of the current interchange and expansion should be connected, with a common junction, so that buses can run between the two parking bays... but then, apparently, that is not the case. :(
Having said that, it does not really matter. Not because I do not stay in Sengkang, but currently there are already bus services in Sengkang that only pass through Sengkang along Compassvale Road. For example, bus service 27. There are people who after alighting from MRT at Sengkang station have to walk long distances climb bridge and walk somemore to the bus stop at Compassvale Road just to take those bus services. So, it should not be a problem for more people to take the trouble to walk to the bus interchange extension.
Nonetheless, it would be good if bus routes originating from the bus interchange expansion can call at the bus stops outside Sengkang MRT Station, along Sengkang East Way.
Currently, there are eleven bus services. The current bus interchange parking bays can only accomodate eight bus services, so it's obviously undersized. With the expansion, hopefully there's enough parking bays for all the bus services.
This also means Sengkang Bus Interchange can only have three more bus services after the expansion. With only three vacancies available, we should use them wisely.
Long distance trunk can survived with 2 parking lots,But feeders and short trunks definately a no,End up BCs will waste time finding parking lots..

Hi mr gekpohboy, cannot be just 3 new routes. Current sengkang interchange still got space to fit in 1 new bus service. When news broke out initially last year, the expansion is to cater for 5 new bus services. Cheers. Thanks.
Yesterday @ 0250hrs at Lor 1,Saw a E500 park beside those OCs,Aint too sure about the rego cause im driving along Kallang Rd towards KPE.

86 & 87 should be no problem cause their T1 is at AMK & BDK respectively but not for 159 cause its under Hgdep.

Levelling works would have to be done as the field is higher than the ground for the interchange. However, that shouldnt be too tough a job as Skg field was also higher than road level. Just a random thought that flashed through my mind, what if they implemented end of berths?

simple? in the first place, there is no space at TPY, that why 159 is made to loop instead of terminating at TPY....

Hi mr lemon1974, I thought sbs 159 terminates at Toa payoh interchange. Cheers. Thanks.
159 & 163 used to be full Amdep before Hgdep takes over Serangoon and those 2 service..Brbp also got limited parking space though it look so huge..Comfort taxis and buses also park there.

Most of the time BC just alight and tap then go to boarding berth,The rest time at TPY for 159/163 is less than 8 mins.

Hi mr carbikebus, oh this is something which I don't know. Thanks for informing. I just reached Toa payoh bus interchange now to observe this. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr busanalyser, work is starting on Punggol interchange expansion very soon. The field is cordoned off today. Workers are putting up the hoardings around it. Hip hip hooray. If that is the case, will be ready by Q1 2017. Soon there will be much cleaner toilets once expansion is completed. Cheers. Thanks.

That is why AMDEP & BRBP are interchangeable... Some buses in BRBP park at AMDEP...
If not, SBS 456 U/SBS 532 H (was it on 143 BRBP) parked at AMDEP caught fire...
I dislike the layout of the current Woodlands Temporary Interchange...
The layout should be something like this instead ah...

I guess can wait for these services to go under their own package:
Svc 143 - Bulim Bus Package
Svc 136 - Loyang Bus Package
Then I would prefer Svc 159 to be under BRBP/AMDEP

Good to hear. Punggol needs it badly.
With Matilda HDBs coming up, there will be soon need for another feeder service to go to the inner part of Matilda. And yes I continue to scream about a service to Edgefield Plains end for Waterway Sundew HDB.

People need to be really dumb to alight at Sengkang MRT to take 27 after a long 10 min walk, when they can take 27 right outside Buangkok MRT. I highly suspect in our country where people disdain walking, they would do that.

Hi mr busanalyser, not edgefield plains end. It is edgedale plains end. Edgefield plains end is currently served by sbs 386. Cheers. Thanks.

I know people who take 27 from Tampines to Sengkang, and then walk to MRT/LRT station to transfer to LRT.
