they are too free to keep on changing their logos size/colour... should focus on the operation instead..
Originally posted by BusAnalayzer:The reason to me is pretty clear - it has nothing to do with the route... as 860 route can manage with DDs.
The reason is that before AMDEP became DD friendly, LTA already upsized sv 860 fleet to 16 buses from a fleet of 07 buses last year... so you can see 09 buses were added... With a frequency of 03-05 mins during peak hours, and 860 managing the load very well... LTA now does not see immediate need to upgrade SD --> DD when it has a lot more challenges with other SMRT trunk routes.
860 SDs in AM take around 50-60 pax these days because of bunching... and PM is around 40-60 pax depending on bus arrival... In general... 16 buses is too much for the route.
In future, I do expect some buses to be cut and converted to DD... Also note that Ring road between ave 11 and ave 4 still has lot of construction and new flats that will open.
By Q4 2016/Q1 2017... sv 860 will have a fleet of say 12 DDs, 4 SDs... similar to sv 291.
SMRT/LTA have too many A22 lah... that why they are spamming A22 on some services (in this case sv860) .. or else where the A22 will go to?
further, if they really want to deploy DD on 860, they should have keep it under WLDEP last year (when there is only 7 buses), and deploy DD, instead of transferring it back tp AMDEP.
As unexpected I saw 1 Enviro on service 925 just now, but not sure if wrongly press EDS or not.

Could be BSEP slots upgraded by KJ SP BSEP E500s...
Makes sense also given the peak hour loading on 925... and why not when JIS services got BSEP fleet add.

Agree. Hoping they convert their remaining A22 order to DDs... just too many!!
So that means DD debut on service 925 today!
DD debut on service 981 from today onwards! (SMB3609K) Didn't expect 981 to get DDs since I also realise it have high loadings too. At long last for Sembawang service to get DD!

rather they put a few more buses to improve the frequency.. 14 buses for a 50km round trip route? 72B have 13 buses to do a 1.8km journey.....

They should add 2 more buses first then can upgrade to DDs.Wldep side another 2 full day buses.
ADL debut 189 today....like only when moving buses over for TT operation

Oh is it?Anyway its great to see Amdep DDs cameoing around but it wont be that significant if they cameo on svc 61,67,854 or 857.It would be nice if the DD cameo on svc like 167,961 or even 980.

Is this first feeder / intratown cameo for E500?
Why would anything happen to upper deck?

Shouldn't be an issue for St 82, Svc 951E operates there... IMO, St 83 is one of the issue and also St 13... Stadium Side
