For service 180, IMO should have DDs but mostly it have full fleet bendies so I not sure if can have DDs. But since 172 can, why not 180?
Furthermore I really hope SMRT will use their MAN A24s wisely to deploy their services. Its recommendable to deploy on feeder and short trunk services rather than on long haul services. Also, I wonder if 962 can get DDs.
962 got fleet add of another 2 MAN SDs... easily could have got upgraded to DDs... but since SMRT does not have enough.. have to boost frequency with SDs to mitigate loading issues.
172 also need another 2 high capacity buses. They added 1 DD... but not enough... need more..

962 can have DDs in my opinion,964 can do well if DDs why not 962 which ply longer routes than 964.Can deploy 7 DDs and 5 SDs for a start.

Yes 962 can do well with DDs... the question is does SMRT have enough right now to deploy? Answer is NO. Hence, some services will have to wait until SMRT brings in more DDs.

The real answer is space constraints..Amdep rely heavily on Yishun Int to park their fleets.Most probably is to transfer few O405Gs and take a few DDs.
Kjdep also rely on CCK Int for parking.Budep will be gone case once TT start operation.
Wldep already at its maximum capacity with those O405Gs and A22s.Only left a few space available at Wlbp.Unless for the time being LTA help them by giving a sub bus park for Amdep and Kjdep respectively.

Aint too sure,TT will gets around 300 buses for a start with another 100-150 progressively.Even though LTA lease 100 lots for SMRT it will be just temporary.They will eventually get stuck in the queue with TT buses to enter depot at night.
We might see 61,172,178,180,187 and even 852 park there in future.

According to Tower Transit, their fleet will grow by 380 buses.
380 out of 500 capacity so left about 120 lots.In 2 years time maybe increase somemore
Hopefully if foreign operator wins Loyang,SBST dont park their 100 buses for svc 5,21 etc there also eh
