Hi mr SBS 9631X, no. I could not confirm any buses or not because I was outside in another vehicle and I saw the fence and everything was ok. Cheers. Thanks.
saw the loyang depot while on my way to work.. so far no buses seen there at the moment (or maybe because day time?)

dunno..hopefully 3463 go to 265... seriously they can remove 265P..or put those 265P buses on some other routes

As for Sv 85, until now, still haven't resolved the issue of the 4 DDs though. The article that time mentioned 4 DDs for 5 SDs right..but until now, i've only seen 4 SDs out of 85. So i suppose that would mean that in the previous round, they not only upgraded the capacity (4 DDs vs 4 SDs), they also took out 1 less SD than we expected.
And then now Sv 85 gets another fleet add next week? Abit overkill uh compared to Sv 39..?
if use citaro, then 3463 is SP?
as for 85, previously, i mention that there is trips reductions after adding DD... guess they might have converted one AP shift to S shift instead.... now they add one more bus, then the MP (if he got elected), then claim that he push LTA to add bus mah, but he dunno about the trips reduction previously....
as for sv39, not sure the DDs are really needed? everytime i saw those 39 DD at 5plus leaving yishun, are almost all low number of paxes..

Agreed agreed agreed. Don't know what psychological issue AMDEP/HGDEP have... BNDEP is deploying its DDs on short feeders as well, now plying DDs on 3A/3B. Definitely the routes of 265/269/315 are longer and can do well with DDs.

sv 85 getting another DD is luxury.. sv 39 is also doing okay with current fleet. Before the DDs were possible for Yishun, SBS/LTA did give sv 39 many fleet adds.

Hi mr lemon1974, give so many DDs to 85 for what? The authorities should give some more to Sbs 3 instead. Cheers. Thanks.

Hmm, no worries. I was just asking because as of a few days ago, when i was onboard the Sv 89 & 109 DDs, the depot isn't functioning yet uh. Just that they (once again) stored like 7-8 new-new Citaros in the middle of the depot under the sunlight.
I say new-new because those Citaros were with shiny bodies and shiny rims.
So yeah, the depot is almost done up. But not functioning yet.

HAHA yeah. Still remember that there was a period of 6 consecutive quarters back then (ie, total of a 1.5years period) in which every 3 months Sv 39 got a KUB fleet add.
Anyway my point was that, IMO, i think Sv 39 & 85 should stick with their current fleet though. If any of the 2 svcs does get another DD (note: i'm saying DD, if SD fleet add, still sounds reasonable), I don't think it's fair in comparison to the other service that didn't get.

Idk though. It will good if 265 gets a DD though too IMO, although the 3 BSEP Citaros in AMDEP are like in no man's land. haha.

For Sv 39 uh,
1) the pax load actually dropped off quite considerably after 103 was extended to Yishun though. I can't quite figure out why, but I noticed that there wasn't as many people who would transfer at the Seletar bus stop from Sv 39 nowadays compared to last time.
2) the pax load for Sv 39 only starts building up after 1745hrs+ (or if you want a round-figure, 6pm onwards) from Yishun. That's the time when most of the army personnel from the nearby camps & almost everyone else knocks off from work. I've taken trips of different timings in the 5pm-6pm sector before on Weekdays, and the pax load for a trip at 1730hrs+ really differs by a whole lot compared to the next trip at say, 1745hrs+.
I've observed that 3 out of the 4 DDs on Sv 39 are on full-day shifts though. (they run till the last few timings each day). Helps to clear the pax load after 8pm (when almost all the S-shifts start going off-service)>
Although yeah, the pax demand for each Sv 39 trip nowadays uh, are like more than what a KUB with standees could handle, but not enough to fill a DD fully.

i don't think BNDEP is wrong to deploy DDs on Sv 3A and 3B though.
You should go and observe the whole lot of people who take the shortworking trips to PSR Central from the MJC area & vice versa on the shortworking trips daily..Constant full KUB loads. Although, once again, if you deploy a DD on such trips, the pax load is more than a KUB, but not enough to seat a DD fully lo.

what?
svc 3A/3B got DD? when?
Service 103 should get DDs in the future

I never said BNDEP is doing a wrong thing. Instead if you read I am asking AMDEP/HGDEP to follow the same for 265/269/315.
I am of the opinion DDs clear load very well on short feeders as well although my friends in SMRT territory will argue on it.

I think 103 might be a candidate to get DDs in this round.

The loading has kind of dropped from Pasir Ris to Yishun. Bus still has 55-60 pax but manageable by KUBs. Ofcourse people will love if they get a DD instead if they are boarding at Pasir Ris and wanting to alight at Yishun.
103 really hasn't picked up much between Seletar/SAP to Yishun. I expected in fact even people from ave 11 preferring it to Yishun. But have seen many buses departing Yishun MRT stop with only 15-20 pax. But we can argue these were pax who would take 103 to Seletar and change to 39/858 in pre-extension days.

reverse direction packed on weekends
Svc 39:Weekdays need only 4 DDs the most while weekends can add 1 more DD only.
Svc 85:3 DDs for weekdays

I think the reason why 103 has not picked up loading from Yishun Ave 11 is because of its terrible frequency compared to 806. The last time I waited at Yishun Ave 11 towards Yishun Temp Int (during off-peak, though), literally five 806 buses have called at the stop before 103 came. And all the 806 buses cleared all pax at the bus stop, except 1 auntie who was going to KTPH. In the end, even that auntie gave up and decided to walk there.
It seems that AM peak people take whatever come first, hence the poor loading on 103 compared to 806.
Anyway, let's wait for a few more months and see if 103 starts to receive more pax. Last time 2 months after the extension of svc 35, only 10 pax took 35 at Alps Ave during evening peak. And now... 35 got spammed with DDs.

The loading of sv 35 from Alps Ave is still at 15-20 pax... another 20 pax add in at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal... and bulk of the loading comes from the industrial area of Xilin.. sv 35 is doing v well with DDs but it is really bcoz of Xilin crowd and not really Alps... think Alps folks still pretty happy with the shuttle.

With the introduction of the DDs on Sv 3. 3801L replacing 8571S timing. 3B in AM Peak, 3A in PM Peak
Is the introduction of svc 102 delayed again? Don't think it will still be launched on 20 Sep... And Public Transport SG blog also removed info about 102

Hi mr array88, sure delayed. If need to introduce on 20 sep, should have been announced officially by 5 sep for the launch. Since there is no launch, it is 100% delayed. Cheers. Thanks.
