Nope, the 8 new services are not CDS. The 12 CDS services are mentioned separately.

The fact that they mentioned "coming months" shows that they will most probably not be delayed until 2017 to be introduced. "Eight more services" also means that there will be inter-town services, and not all will be feeder/short trunk (like what you have proposed).

To me, the numbering still matters... 41, 49 should be because there are no better numbers available (20x is for Kent Ridge I believe). Moreover 49 is half of 98, while 41 is kind of similar to 51 which is also at Jurong East.
If LTA doesn't care about numbering at all, they could have given some random numbers to services like 20, 122, 116, 141 etc.

Similar isn't a good excuse in the sense that it can confuse passengers if seen at a distance ... take for example, 856, 858 and 859 along Sembawang Rd.
What's with 49, playing number games now? If I had a say, I'd extend it to Clementi, so there'd be 7, 7x2, 7^2, (7x2)^2. After which, swap 77 and 106 such that 77 goes there too. Lol.

I like your logic = 49 is half of 98... that's why it is justified... really!?! So that means the next Buangkok Link service should be numbered 202 = 101 X 2...
And there is NOTHING similar about 41/51 route except for the starting point.

Yes.. but coming months necessarily does not commit to anything... it could be next 1 quarter... 2 quarters or even 3 quarters...
Just like they announced new Punggol and Jurong Lake district service in Q1 yet not implemented... Similarly, they mentioned about new service in Sengkang west and Loyang... that have still not happened..

5 more!?!? have they gone crazy? Should just introduce 858M instead... that would be one worthy M service with high capacity buses.

Lolllll.
117 divided by 3 = 39 so it will ply TPE
108 may be Bishan service because 54X2 is 108

Bishan no space liao after 50 ended there.
Enough with all these math nonsense, please. There's no end to it.
With the current numbering system, how many faults it has, it doesn't make sense to introduce services to the same interchange based on multiplication.
(Example: Consider how many factors 120, 160, 192, 960 have. Must these numbers and their numerical factors all share a same interchange / terminal??)
If you guys want to discuss it further, go to the Crapbox. This thread is for BSEP discussions, not arithmetic speculations.

Only 1 more berth at Berth where Service 58 and 59 are.

Even if there is 2 berths the parking lots is not enough..

Its not about the berth bro, Berth anyone can add, parking space how to add?

Yeah... 5 more would simply mean 5 more buses jammed up on the express...
Unless it's 5 more bendies... Aha!
The Service 50-59 has 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58 and 59. But Service 51 ends at Hougang, not Bishan, ruining the whole set. Service 50, 52 to 59 end at Bishan.
Now where is Service 102 and 164? I thought they were also in the BSEP?

Aiya 51 has its own history, dont change a historical route number just to suit the numberings at interchange
Some people thought Service 97, 106, 111 and 502 extended back to their interchanges in 2002 before the North East Line opened.
I don't get to get involved with the maths speculation in the previous pages, but anyway, Sv 12's fleet add in June would mean that there is a missing bus from Sv 12 currently.
I'm hoping it's not 8849S (BN 32) (a few people told me that 8849S keeps appearing on Sv 12 last 2 months)...but I think it's likely another SP Wright going in. Because, all the KUBs on Sv 12 are accounted for.
