Not possible? You should go try~ Out of 3 tries at the stop[for me], 2 of it were peak hours...and it happen that there's heavy jams that drags the waiting time to 20mins :) cheers~
Hi mr TIB429E, I guess you are not being flexible. Even when there are some jams, you could have taken other buses which come along first and switched accordingly. Most of the buses at TPE stop have other viable alternatives. Cheers.

Even during peak at most 2 buses only, or 3-4 of there are jams. 4 buses ALL THE TIME is an exaggeration, at least for now.
And btw lemme give you some enlightenment: 858 has a 85% rate of running off schedule, 109 has 70%. During the 85% 858 buses can arrive in timings up to 27 minutes during PEAK, and 32 during off peak. 109 can come in 21 minutee too. This was a study done by a friend of mine who once worked in Transitlink. And I cant prove him wrong either! Once a daily commuter of 109, freq often go super erraric during peak starting from PSR, leave alone TPE! 858? Needless to explain.
Hi mr SMB128B, I did not say 4 buses all the time! Read again!
As for smrt 858 and sbs 109, it depends on your exact destination. There are definitely other alternatives. All you need is check out the sbs transit iris apps see the timings and change to other methods of going to your destination. All these can be done on the spot. Cheers.

Hi mr SMB128B, i think you never read carefully. This is the problem with most people in this forum here. You take out my words selectively. Haha.
I pluck out the paragraph for you again here.
'Hi mr TIB429E, haha i think you never go see during peak hours morning and peak hours evening weekdays. 4 buses coming together is a very common sight DURING THOSE TIMINGS. Cheers.'
So reading your half selective statement and my original 2 statements mean a world of difference. Cheers.

Even during peak it is rare for that stop to get FOUR DAMN BUSES at once! YOU get your FACTS right!

Hi mr SMB128B, i saw a few times during peak. Cheers.

You just corrected yourself.

There will be enhancements made to service 49's route as stated on this post:

Seems like a minor enhancement... May be an additional 2 stops before terminates... Will be interesting to see how it comes back and terminates at Taman Jurong Terminal, as it will have to enter again through Yuan ching road.
All, a new bus stop is being built along pasir ris central currently. The only bus service that goes by this road is sbs 3. Cheers.

513E can get BSEP Citaro add for a 3rd slot during AM peak. I think it is high time this slot is introduced. It is surprising to see that while 850E/951E have picked up during AM peak with 7 buses now, 513E introduced much earlier still has only 2.
A third Citaro slot can be introduced here. The loading on first/second bus on 513E is a good 60-65 and 55-60 pax during AM.
PM peak can downgrade 1 DD slot to SD slot.. as both buses have on average between 35-50 pax during PM. No need to add more buses during PM at this point.

Lol... AM is much more than that
It's actually a good 75-90 pax
Its wrights always packed to door

Where do you see the loads? As SMB128B says, buses leaving SAFRA are normally full.
513 can add another 2 more Citaro for morning peak,1st and 3rd DD and 2nd and last SD,PM peak actually can stay with 2 DDs.On the other hand 518 can add another BSEP DD...Off peak time is killer with freq range from 16-25 mins..Hougang can introduce new express 505 from Hgdep-Marina Bay loop..6 SDs and 3 DDs for a start
I rather they extend 49 to somewhere else rather than making it ply same stop twice
Originally posted by carbikebus:I rather they extend 49 to somewhere else rather than making it ply same stop twice
I think it would extend to Joo Koon

Agreed... Esp weekends evening, still full of SDs coming at 19-22 mins
Causing heavy loads and dozens of frustrated stranded passengers.
Speaking of which, how are 128 and 868 doing?

Yes there are times when bus has 80+ pax on board, but on an average at least has 60-65 pax. This definitely warrants one more bus to be added. The latter is my main point.
