8161 been doing sv53 earlier this year, most likely is replacing some of the perm bus which are MIA...
Hmm okay, that makes more sense now. So means 8161S was probably in the same situation as 1990L is on Sv 15 currently. Supposed to be out but still on the ex-perm replacing another MIA bus.
Idk abt the Kallang one... Cos on the post for sv 11 on MP Lim Biow Chuan FB, he said that he will request for a service for Haig Road... Im not sure as LTA quite strange one lor... Even 11 Tanjong Rhu also put Geylang/Kallang
who knows? Just wait lor

SBS 3419H (SL 241) - fleet add (I believe this will tell sbst275 that LTA is looking at the data)

Is it 3419H or 3420? Someone else reported 3420 to be the fleet add on sv 241.
Think SMB3116R 187 slot might get DD upgrade in future... Tdy took it from WDL to BNL @ 12.50PM, from WRI already left 4 seats available, outside Bt. Panjang Plaza already bus full...

Yes.. 187 ideally should have more high capacity buses... giving only 5 bendies to such a high loading service really appals me.
All, with more buses at TPE stop, I can finally feel the difference. Sbs 3 loading from Punggol to pasir ris direction has slightly dropped. Some people must have walked to take other services to pasir ris. Good news, right? Less cramped for sbs 3. Now no need even DD which I feel there is a need last time.
More people have also boarded sbs 3 inside Punggol and alighted at TPE stop presumably to transfer to other services. Maybe this has also diverted some crowd off who may have stopped at pasir ris mrt previously to carry on their journey. Cheers.

So according to you, how has the load shifted? sv 3 gone down, which ones gone up?

Hi mr busanalyser, 3 down slightly, 27 same, 34 down slightly, 39 same, 88 same, 89 same, 109 same, 168 up, 858 up, 969 up. Cheers.

compared to last time, 27 loads to me have gone down slightly, but not much effect on the loading. I could board the 2nd bus compared to last time, when i had to wait for the 4th or 5th bus. Still waiting for pax to change to 969! 27 cant get DDs so lets hope that all the pax will change to 969 and 969 can get more DDs

A few days late, but yeah, exactly what I was trying to bring across in my post a few weeks ago: I don't see how the bulk of the services would benefit from the new stops.
I always see Sv 39 go pass that TPE stop without ever stopping for people boarding or boaring during Peak. Although once in a blue moon there would be like 1-3 pax alighting or boarding (and that's rare).
Anyway, is it just me, or are those 2 stops under-utilised? Even during Peak, i don't see the crowds LTA seemed to have predicted by building that long a bus stop shelter.

Actually I rather they shorten the bus stop length..it's kinda stupid when u alighted at bus stop 1A and you have to run so much to catch buses at 1B, what if it's the last bus and you have drivers that do not wait for you??

Hi mr TIB429E, the bus stop must be long enough so that 4 buses can come at the same time. The occurrence for such services to all come at same time is high. If not, traffic will pile up. That is worse.
For the scenario you give, it is natural that human beings do not plan their journey until to the last minute. If people really want to do that, then they have to take such risks. Cheers.

Haha but you don't usually see 4 buses coming together...and the traffic besides already very jialat...
The length is seriously too long...should make it shorter...
Ahaha bro, so what happens if the passenger happen to miss the bus and the sub bus is 20mins? Are you going to blame the passengers again?

Hi mr TIB429E, haha i think you never go see during peak hours morning and peak hours evening weekdays. 4 buses coming together is a very common sight during those timings. Cheers.
Haha. That is not very possible. Maybe once in 30 times you will get a 20 min wait. The frequencies of those buses are less than 20 min even at off-peak hours. The buses at TPE stops are very popular services. Cheers.

Oh? But i believe the distance from traffic to the bus stop is long enough to withstand 6 buses already...
Not possible? You should go try~ Out of 3 tries at the stop[for me], 2 of it were peak hours...and it happen that there's heavy jams that drags the waiting time to 20mins :) cheers~

Wrong!
Even during peak at most 2 buses only, or 3-4 of there are jams. 4 buses ALL THE TIME is an exaggeration, at least for now.
And btw lemme give you some enlightenment: 858 has a 85% rate of running off schedule, 109 has 70%. During the 85% 858 buses can arrive in timings up to 27 minutes during PEAK, and 32 during off peak. 109 can come in 21 minutee too. This was a study done by a friend of mine who once worked in Transitlink. And I cant prove him wrong either! Once a daily commuter of 109, freq often go super erraric during peak starting from PSR, leave alone TPE! 858? Needless to explain.
