Bras Basah - Bayfront - about 15 - 20 mins
Bayfront - Bedok North - about 25 - 30 mins
Bedok North - TP - about 10 mins
TP - Loyang - about 15 mins
Loyang - PSR Int - about 25 - 30 mins
If we need to trace back
Bedok North - Novena - about 30 mins
Novena - Bras Basah - about 20 - 25 mins
It is probably a 1030 slot, estimated to reach PSR at 1400
I could be wrong about the timing (especially expressway sector time). Do correct me if I am wrong.
Bayfront - Bedok Nth actually around 15-20 mins only.
Bedok North to Novena approx 20 mins onl. y
To be honest, I'd rather they make 119 to loop at Upper Serangoon Cresent instead.
Originally posted by ButIAmAToilet:518's peak frequency is quite odd. Sometimes can have huge gap, then all the 518A come, all the bus suddenly fly in within minutes, then go back to 20 min freq.
Because, the bulk of Sv 518's freq during AM Peak comes from the Pasir Ris area. The Tampines residents travelling to the City during Peak somehow aren't that receptive to Sv 518..otherwise they wouldn't have withdrawn Sv 518B and kept Sv 518A~
So if I'm in Pasir Ris and waiting for a Sv 518 bus to the city during AM Peak, it honestly doesn't matter much whether it's a Sv 518 or 518A bus that comes. Just that the Sv 518A bus will reach the city about 30mins+ faster than the regular Sv 518..

3818P reaches PSR Int around 1545hrs-1600hrs, depending on how fast it travels along PSR Dr 1 back to PSR Int. Trace back that timing and you'll roughly know about what time was the previous trip from PSR Int.
And IIRC, it doesn't take that long for Sv 518 to do a round trip. Especially during non-Peak.
Because for Off-Peak Hours, it takes roughly 65-75mins (abit more or less depending on traffic along PIE) to get from PSR Dr 1 to Suntec, and then you add another 50-60mins+ on the return trip (notice the diff in time taken because the return trip is usually empty on Weekdays Off-Peak and the BCs will just speed back to PSR).
It'll probably take abit more than 2 hours to do a round trip on Sv 518 during Off-Peak. For Peak Hours, then likely 3 hours because PIE and Orchard area will jam up.
Which I guess it likely means that 3818P is on a full-day slot. And I've not seen 2699Y still yet, while the other 3 Mk4s are still on.

Wasn't it seen at 1220 at Bras Basah? How does it took almost 3.5 hours to reach PSR?
I brought this point up once and I will probably bring it up again. It feels weird that the last bus reaches Orchard near midnight, when the last bus leaves PSR int at 10pm. What could be causing it?
Anyway, I think there may be a reason. Comex is this week, so maybe the add is related to the Comex pax, since many took 518 back if there are such events a Suntec
Lastly, seen at Loyang at 0040.

Dude, idk if you got the entire point of my earlier post. But I'm trying to say that 3818P likely made another trip from PSR Int at 2pm or earlier to make it back to PSR again by 3.30pm+? So the 1220 trip you saw was the previous trip lor before the trip I spotted 3818P in PSR uh?

Hi mr ah Soh, thanks. So it is a hougang new feeder service. This time I get it right. LTA not too keen on long routes as of this moment. Cheers.

Hi mr Acx1688, haha. I see this everyday. Big enough. Not much issues at the moment. To all those detractors, they can be finally convinced now. To add on, sbs 27 is not really fully packed all the time. There are some spaces to get onto it from this stop. Cheers.

No wonder AMDEP took in so many new BSEP citaros (spotted 6478 6479 etc)..

139A will be withdrawn most probably then..
Where will the crossover buses from 90 go to? Back to depot.

Saw a fb post from fb that 136 got a DD loading test this evening. Is it true? Another case of 119?

Forget such long distance services for a while... LTA really not interested except for short feeders and M services.

Not sure where you got this information from... doesn't hurt to try DDs on 136 in PM.. 136 does have decent loading towards Punggol in PM (and def more than 119). Like 228 if the test does not see need for DDs, it will not be introduced.
Also, don't compare 119s DDs coz those are BSEP and from LTA. I think SBST is more pragmatic when it gives a DD add or SD-->DD conversion.

They should do a bigger sign/colour to differ between the bus stop.
