Whilst waiting for 151e, about 6 more DDs on 10 arrived within 5 minutes, which none of them are even filled up by a quarter.
Yup its a regular thing...
Weekday morning peak also

It also tried DDs on 228 but realized did not need.
It is LTA BSEP who is stubborn who has put DDs on 119 and does not bother to take them out and give to other service instead. Have too many DDs for them to give anyhow to whichever service they fancy.
Question: so is there a DD cameo on 518 or not?
Originally posted by ButIAmAToilet:Question: so is there a DD cameo on 518 or not?
Today i dont think so. Cause ppl only spotted SBST staff on upperdeck.

Yes.
So my random raging on 518 months ago is worth it (sort of). What time does it appear?

Camping for it would suffice. No one knows exactly if it is still going to do the same slot or not.

I see, thanks for the replys, I am feeling a bit high right now, gotta calm down a bit XD
I toyed around with a design idea for a 2 stair 3 door WEG and concluded that we may need to remove about 20 seats to fit in the stairs and door. How many pax can the WEG take if it does happens?

Something like the Borismaster?
Anyways 3 door DDs aren't allowed on Singapore for revenue service (except tours and passing by) due to LTA not allowing it.

7,133 still deploys SDs on weekends
Night freq 14 is extremely good
Weekend 10 freq v good but not tt many passengers
36,48 weekend/ph freq is terrible but no improvement done
14,16 however has benefitted from frequent fleet additions(non bsep) as there are cash cows
But these deployments are difficult la... so no where it can be perfect... overall I am satisfied with most of their service.

Yes sv 10 deployment v tricky... One direction super heavy load... other direction load 1/4 of peak direction... Hence, they have tried to convert many DD slots to SD but have to keep the DDs for peak hour load.

Why would 3 doors DD not be allowed when there are buses already with 3 doors. There's nothing that make a 3 door DD different from a 3 door bendy. Don't make stuff up and put it in the mouth of LTA.

But it still would be accepted into sg. Don't forget the longest bus we have operated is 14.5m although its no longer in operation. Like u said just not all routes could use it.
Anyway, I found it quite intriguing to see that people have been discussing (and for some, doubting) whether Sv 518 got a DD cameo/perm yesterday.
When someone posts with only words, others will say NPNT. But when the pic comes out (multiple pics somemore), they doubt whether the bus was on revenue svc or just a test by SBST.
Idk how others see it, but for me, I spotted that DD on Sv 518 at 330pm+ at Pasir Ris area with 3 middle-aged aunties onboard the upper deck. They look nowhere close to how a SBST staff should look like.
And even if the bus svc number was keyed in wrongly, does it make sense for the driver to then drive the full trip back to Pasir Ris?
Seriously. Idk what the other forums/pages have been talking. But if you didn't see it with your own eyes, it doesn't mean that it's not happening / it didn't happen.
Maybe yesterday was a one-off trial, but I doubt that it so coincidentally tied in with a timetable change across all days (if it was a one-off, or a punk joke). We shall see in coming days. Cheers.

I believe this is the result of a great erosion of trust within the community over the years.
3818P spotted on 518 again today on revenue svc, 2.35pm @ MBS, likely perm alr

Yes I saw the bus from back as well... couldn't see reg number but could see the EDS. I think there is a perm DD slot now.

TEL the whole sector a bit screw up, Woodlands side is okay, Sin Ming is only worth it after CIL, Napier sector redundant IMO, first CBD area from east side is Shenton Way. A but long from MP to Orchard. If from East Coast to Woodlands, 168 might be faster than TEL
Originally posted by array88:A bit too late to post this… Yesterday I was at TPE bus stop (towards SLE) from 6pm to 6.15pm.
Observations:
- More people are using the bus stop compared to Sunday. There were about 20-30 pax in average waiting at the SLE-bound bus stop, but the Changi-bound bus stop only had less than 10 pax. For services towards Sengkang (27, 88 & 89), usually 5-10 pax would alight at the bus stop, while almost nobody alighted from sv 3 & 34.
- At the bus stop towards SLE, there were slightly more people waiting for services towards Punggol (bus stop 1a) than Sengkang (1b). For the bus stop towards Changi, almost all people were waiting for services towards Tampines (1a) and I saw nobody at bus stop 1b towards Pasir Ris. There were times when sv 27/88 pass by the bus stop without stopping.
- There were some staff (probably from LTA) at the SLE-bound bus stop guiding passengers and giving out ‘flyers’ showing the map of the bus stop.
Thanks and please observe for a little longer duration.
518 Should have more buses .. Sundays only 8 buses for a 63KM route
