Yes safety first. The chances of reversing is rather low at that time, and mind you, most of the driver practise safety while reversing. At least there's some signal. So do you understand? I think you should go see more of the interchange structure then say he's crossing the bus park

There have been plenty of cases of people getting killed by vehicles because they were behind, and in the blind spot.NSF killed fellow NSF when he reversed into him against the pillar....All it takes is just for a gear to engage, or the brakes to fail, or just plain careless driving. And for SMB66X, please eat your words.Driverless bus rolls out of interchange and onto roadThere was also another case where the brakes failed for a truck at a private estate. The fella had to buang the truck at a drain to prevent any danger to people...SMB66X ego too big liao

According to a report on omy.sg, the wheel flew some 5 metres and landed at the bus stop near Bedok Bus Interchange on Sep 12.
The STOMPer wrote: "Bus fans must take care about their own safety if they want to film or snap anything.
"The wheel dislodge accident proves it.
"If the wheel gets hot enough it may explode or fly off and the bus fan filming could get injured or killed.
"Are bus fans so desperate for popularity on Facebook they would risk their own lives?"
F1 2013 edition route amendments:
sv14,14e,16 has new route diversions this year to minimise inconvenience to commuters.
After the Raffles Hotel bus stop at Bras Basah Rd, the bus will turn left to Beach Rd, keep right and turn right to Middle Rd, then left again to Nicoll Highway to continue its journey.
This is a special provision(right turn to Middle Rd) during F1 period to reduce bus bunching up for rts.14,16 and the traffic snarls at Beach Rd/ Java Rd.
It's not everyday one will see a bus that uses an electronic signage have so many plastic signage - it was spotted this morning with its Transit Media signage malfunctioning, though it seems to be resolved later.
SBS9684T on 64, with the double decker plastic signage on the top, a single deck plastic signage bottom, and a rear small sized route signage for the side signage, for the ease of viewing of the route number by passengers should the double decker bus get blocked by a single decker bus in front (covering up the lower deck signage).

Speaking of which, is it true that BCs have the freedom to choose the routes with regards to the express sectors for ffwd?
I have seen some ffwd buses use different routes for the same services. Eg. some evening peak 151e enters PIE from Clementi Rd, others follow the original 151 route all the way.
NS16, EW5, EW27, EW1 to operate from 20-22Sep, 1am - 2am period[not the exact operational period]

sv14,14e,16 route diversion for previous GP seasons was to go straight to raffles hotel(bras Basah Rd), the turn left to beach rd before turning right to java rd
The reason to not turn to victoria street is for the bus to keep as close to the route as possible and reduce the heavy jam of buses using the right turn to middle rd from victoria st

Apparently so, i have seen sv10e,196e using St. Andrews Rd before returning to Nicoll Highway when there is heavy traffic on Esplanade Bridge.
sv196e have used Haig Rd to return to Amber Rd before...
All Ffw BCs are very experienced and have good knowledge on surrounding roads and height restrictions
LTA and SBST/SMRT Buses are targetting for a full WAB fleet by 2020, now retiring the old non-wheelchair accessbile buses make sense, even though some non wheelchair accessible buses have not reached full 17 years lifespan. It had served its time ..just treasure them while they're still around and let them go when they have to go. Consider the reasons below
1) Put yourself into the shoes of a wheelchair bound person who needs to travel. There might be times when PIWs had to wait longer because there was some non-wheelchair accessible buses in between a wheelchair accessible bus, delaying the trip time for the person.
2) Easy accessibility by all walks of life with the zero step entry/exit of the new public buses
3) greener Euro V emissions standard for the public and environment.
4) Maintenance cost probably might have been a factor as well.
