I've seen TIB787X on TQ before, like last Sunday... It was quite constant on 75 on Sundays for a time... Unless SMB326X is not TQ, but A/P on Weekends...

80 new bus routes? LTA never talks about where these bus routes will be accommodated.
Most, if not all, interchanges are running at maximum capacity. Where will these buses start and end?
Also, LTA is scared of optimizing current bus services such as 43/76/135 or 119/136 or 113/115/325.
It is afraid to make any changes to existing services to meet the needs of people better. How will it free up space at interchanges? Never think about these things... All LTA wants to do is show numbers. X number of buses added, Y bus routes introduced. How effective it is.. no one is checking...
Some services can be modified to suit people's needs better than just introducing new service.

I think there will be a very significant change to the public bus network in the Choa Chu Kang, Bukit Batok (areas along Bukit Batok Road), Jurong East/West (areas along Jurong West/East Avenue 1; I personally feel that there should be some rationalisation of bus resources, and some services should be re-routed to use Boon Lay Way or just bypass to Boon Lay via the expressway.), Wenya, Gek Poh (the addition of Joo Koon Bus Interchange will surely have some impact to the bus network here), Pioneer and Tuas areas, at around 2015.
Why? Because
Until now, there is only one/two new BSEP bus route (excluding city direct) in the West area. I guess LTA is waiting for Joo Koon Bus Interchange and Wenya Bus Depot to open, and they are probably delaying the implementation of new BSEP bus routes in the west area.

Why? Because
- Joo Koon Bus Interchange opening.
- Many new developments in Choa Chu Kang.
- There has been publicly-known complaints about the bus services in Choa Chu Kang area.
- Wenya is opening up.
- SMRT will have a bus depot at Wenya - I guess LTA wants to try out the contracts model in public bus services, starting with the areas at and surrounding Wenya. Why? Because they already say the depot is developed by LTA and (only) leased to SMRT. So, there may be some "change in colours" due to change in bus operators....
- Bukit Batok Road seriously needs review. the bus routes there may be affected.
actually, for Bukit Batok Road (Jurong Town Hall Road), the interim measures can be
1.create bus lane.
2.temporarily expand the road, until the road network at Tengah is developed.

I strongly agree, we need some rationalization/modification of existing bus routes. Just adding buses to existing services or creating new bus routes is not meeting people's needs well. It is also waste of resources and just adding more buses adding to the traffic.
